I always wondered what it's like to get shot.
    Anyone here been shot ?
    Or Stabbed ?
My worst injury is probably a burn by a saucepan.. but I'm still young.. got plenty of time to fuck shit up.

But others are not so young , so what's your worst injury and how did it feel ?, We know it hurts.. but in what way ?

Breaking your left arm in two places, having those two places moved apart (like dislocating a joint except the jagged ends tear through your muscle tissure)

And doing all of that underwater.

Yah, I was boogie boarding, the strap was tied to my wrist, a wave was about to crash on top of me but it was about 10 feet high, the average was 5 (i think two waves colliding one piggy backing the other).

So what I do is dive under the wave which is what most other people do. My mistake was not holding onto the boogie board because normally the boogieboard will just float over the top of the wave. But this wave was too high.

So I was swimming underwater forwards, the wave grabs my boogieboard, rips it back, and the wrist strap break my arm, dislocates me, and THEN breaks off of the board. (whos the total idiot that made it to break your arm and than snap off the board)

So not only is my arm broken but I have to swim back to shore, and when your in that much pain you pay no attention to anything else, so I get hit by like 6 waves on the way back and about 3 pulled me under water, so it feels like your drowning.

That is scary. And it hurt so damn bad.

Slipped on the stairs at work when I was 7 mths pregnant. My arm got caught in the railing and snapped up by my shoulder. The people in the office heard the bone break and came rushing out just in time to see my arm flop into my lap. I threw up on myself.
Since it was at work I had to fill out paperwork before they would call an ambulance. They never did. One of the bosses took me to the hospital. Since I was pregnant, I had to put a lead apron on for X-rays and I couldn't be given any pain killer. The break was so bad I had to go to another hospital 25 miles away. They called my husband to take me there. He showed up on the motorcycle. dumbass.
He went home and got the car. Drove to the other hospital worrying because the baby hadn't moved since I fell 2 hours earlier.
I had to go through the whole lead apron/no meds thing again. They set the arm with no pain killer. I threw up on myself again.
Afterwards I got home and my dumbass husband asked what was for supper. I do not miss him.

What do you mean it was badly broken ? Like a straight cut ?
Mine was.. uhm, how do you call it.. serrated ? The bone gripped into each other on it's own again.
(I broke my arm in the same place as you did)

they broke and then my arm got shorter. They overlapped by quite a bit. As if it broke apart and then jammed down.

It all happened so fast. I knew I broke my arm and I wasn't bleeding so I knew the baby was ok. But I did it right outside the nurse's station so that was lucky. But I started throwing up, getting cold, dizzy, pale, etc. I thought they would have called an ambulance though for legal reasons.

A friend and me were racing our bikes. He was to the right of me and I was slightly leading (naturally

). Then there was some confusion about which road to take..
So.. He was going straight ahead while I thought we were supposed to make a right turn..
I remember seeing some woman on the sidewalk about 100m ahead. When I came too she was hunched over me.. lol
I just biked off to home. It did hurt but not very. I couldn't raise my arm above shoulder height though..
I took three days before I started complaining, then my parents took me to the hospital for an X-ray.
It's very minor though.. I mean if that's the worst accident you had in your life.

I know what you mean. Like the two bones broke and than dislocated one from the other?

Mine did that when my left arm broke and didnt take anesthetic. Hurts so damn bad.

I think it hurt worse than actually breaking my arm.

I bruised them. Bad shoes. They look okay now, but they're very sensitive.

I've been shot. It hurts much more than they act like it does on tv. I don't recommend that you try it. And depending on where you got shot, but I got hit in the side, there was so much blood and it was like pumping out of me. It was gross, scary and intriguing all at the same time. But the fear overtook the gross factor and intrigue because no one could get the bleeding to stop or even slow down. Then I wanted to pass out, but had hit my head so they wouldn't let me sleep, until they were sure there was no brain damage. And to make it worse it hurt to use any of my abdominal muscles and the 2 firefighters and police officer who sat with me while waiting for the ambulance were all very people. I didn't want to laugh cause it hurt so bad, but they did keep my mind off of me possibly dying.
