"But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God-- having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them."
    -2 Timothy 3:1-5

"There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers."
    -Proverbs 6:16-19

"Like a gold ring in a pig's snout is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion."
    -Proverbs 11:22

Yeah. If she's right about the whole Christian thing, she's fucked, too.

*Shrug.* There are thousands of California girls that look like that. She's in pretty good shape now, though.

I appreciate freedom of speech and support every American's right to such. But freedom of speech is a two way street of sorts. Those that disagree with her "biblical values" or her loose interpretation of the bible have the right to speak up.

But more to the point of my post, she has taken her "biblical rights" on tour and will be starring soon in a 1.5 million dollar ad campaign condemning gay marriage.

It's one thing to believe that marriage should be between a man and a women and quite another to impose that belief on those that have differing beliefs. It isn't merely a freedom of speech issue. It's also a freedom of religion issue and why should her religious beliefs over-trump mine? Or what about separation of state and religion?

While she is crying and screaming ,
she is actively trying to suppress freedom of speech
    and alternate religious beliefs.
And oddly, she condemns her actions with her own words,
    That two-way street again, ehh.

    Aerika,

can you get it through your thick skull that miss california does not make policy or pass laws? or that ony seven countries in the world permit gays to marry and that the u.s is one of them?

    I understand that perfectly well.

However, you are wrong about the US. While we have a few states that allow gay marriage the USA doesn't.

Yes I do. Her view on gay marriage has nothing to do with her breast enlargement. So you had an epic fail trying to attack her....

Also, why do we care about the contestants political views? And why do we have this idiot gay dude among the judges??? He should be judging Mr. America....

The sweatest pussy should win, end of story. I don't care if she is dumb like the OP....

and still four or five states DO allow it so it is not accurate to say that the u.s does not permit gays to marry. i am not even against it myself but lets keep things in perspective, i would rather have free speech and i think we can all agree on that...

I made a very long post in support of free speech. Why do you think that Carrie's freedom of speech means that I have to agree with her or remain silent?

The USA in fact does not support gay marriage,

It's disingenuous to argue otherwise merely because a few states allow gay marriage. DOMA suppresses gay marriage on many levels.

big deal. you made a post about supporting free speech but only when it is your speech. she said she doesnt support gay marriage but she seems to be in the majority. so attacking one person because they said something does not support free speech. now if you say 'i support gy marriage' then that is you right to say it and support it.

if smoking weed was legal in five states and someone asks is smoking weed legal in u.s then the answer is YES. of course it is only a few states but you cannot say no it is not permitted.

Please show me where I suggested that Carrie OR anyone for that matter wasn't entitled to free speech?

'i grew up hearing all kinds of malicious things being said but that is what people are doing here.'

just to correct that, it only happened like two or three times.

Very good question, why are you challenging my freedom of speech?
But why do I have to agree with that position? Or are you suggesting that only the majority have freedom of speech?

Actually I'm married and have a daughter. And I don't support bias of any type either but I exercise my freedom of speech to oppose those that are biased.

but you also seem to agree with defamation campaigns. there are laws against that but no laws against you saying you disagree with what someone says.

    see?

Yep, and if they don't do everything just right, then they're subjected to worldwide smear tactics and defamation campaigns!

Oh, geez, humans are such a sad, pitiful lot, ain't they?
