i am not against it personally but i think there should be an age requirement. if the two are over 30 then it should be allowed. that is how i would write the law.

Your law would make no sense. Why does their age matter? They're legal adults at 18. You can't just arbitrarily hand out civil rights to legal adults.

yeah if they are gay they are gay, if they are straight and have been converted to believe that they are gay by gay, than we got an issue...because law should protect straight people in their young age at least.

it is a start at least. partially for what draqon said, but i know that the overwhelming majority this is not the case. another reason is because marriage should be taken more seriously across the board. at 30 people are much more mature, it is a tough call but tbh, for companionship purposes then i am fine with it.

if they (proponents) introduce, as i have stated, the age requirement then it would more likely work towards their favor.

I don't think legalizing ageism is a start. I'm 24. I KNOW if I want to marry a man or a woman or not to be married at all. I have that right as an American citizen.

You're asking to discriminate against marriage based on age. Now, the average man gets married at 28; the average woman is 26. You're saying you so badly want to discriminate against gays and lesbians that you think they should be legally forced to remain behind the norm for marriage. Never mind the fact an adult can go to war and operate a vehicle, which is way more dangerous than marriage, because of some absurd belief that people are going to be forced into "gayism" and married. Beam me up, Scottie. There's no rational life here.

I don't understand you. I can never fathom how your brain passes this off for logic. You've amazed me today, because I'm convinced you believe you've made a presentable argument. You can't decide who gets civil rights and who doesn't. That's not how it works. All adults are entitled to their civil rights, not just the ones who've stuck with their choice of sexual partner long enough. What are you not grasping about that? This isn't rocket science.

actually what I meant was not to make it illegal. Just to not support it by laws. Support straight couples.

How the hell does that support straight couples by not legalizing gay marriage?

That doesn't help straight couples. Draq, that's a logical fallacy.

    Here's how those work.

Bob and Vladamir are sitting in an apple orchard. There's an endless supply of apples. Bob says, "Vladamir, you can't have any apples because these apples are for non-Russian men. If I let Russian men have apples, then I don't get the support of the apples."

Bob still gets to eat the apples. He's getting all the support of the apples. There's not a limit of apples. Whether or not Vllada has an apple has no bearing on Bob. Now, pretend Vlada's gay and Bob is straight, and that we're talking about marriage instead of apples.

Draqon, not that there's a snowball's chance in hell, but any person I have any interest in is pro gay marriage.

    1. Tattoos aren't fake. They are decorations. They also don't change the physical structure of your body.
    2. Earrings/piercings are removable.

    3. Fake titties aren't just decorations, they are permanent and they change the physical structure of one's body.

    4. Got my hair cut yesterday. How is that fake? Besides, there is a useful purpose to having your hair cut, both for hygenic reasons and convenience.

    5. Do not color my hair. I don't have enough of it left! Besides coloring hair is kinda like tattoos. No physical structure change.

    6. Unless you're talking about push up bras, girdles and ruffled shirts to hide spare tires and beer bellies, how can you consider clothing fake? For one it does keep us warm. Two, SOCIETY is the one that dictates we have to wear clothes, not me.

Here are things that ARE fake(in the cosmetic sense):
    -plastic surgery
    -wigs
    -fake boobs
-make up (if there is ANY guy on this forum that likes a girl with plastered on make up, please speak up, because I sure as hell don't).

They're pretty much permanent, and they change appearance. Same thing.

Yes and no. I have a navel piercing that will not close despite no jewelry.

They're not permanent in the least. You change them out or remove them in a few years.
Hair naturally dreads up, and if left alone, it cleans itself and is pretty convenient.

You dress to look better, no? I do. I dress to put my best foot forward. I dress to maximize or minimalize features. Isn't that "fake?"

What's wrong with "fake?" In the cosmetic sense, anyway. My eyelids aren't naturally a little silvery, but it brings out the blue. So what? What's wrong with this stuff?

I don't understand why gay community care about what she said really! who cares, she has her beliefs, maybe not good ones, but she is just a model, they are not generally supposed to be super smart or anything. I mean haven't you heard the miss south Carolina one from a few years ago?

    Hi M:
I agree that everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I think that the stupidest thing that anyone can do, is ask a beauty contestant for a real opinion on anything
come on those girls are bred to be dumb, you don't ask them real questions
remember Miss teen South Carolina last year? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj3iNxZ8Dww

if they were smart & beautiful they would have gone to MIT, UC Berkeley, Yale or Harvard

Perez Hilton is an idiot for asking a beauty contestant a real question, then feeling hurt & insulted when she answers with a half-thought out response, that disagreed with his expectations (or orientation?)
what did he expect, a valedictorian or a gay-friendly speech? oh please

I think he ambushed her, he should apologize for politicizing what is supposed to be mindless entertainment
as punishment he should have to watch "Miss Congeniality" a 100 times

That's okay. If you're not Russian, then it probably wouldn't have worked out anyway.

Therefore we should continue to fear God's wrath due to sodomy, but not vain women.

I don't know. 3 inch heels and sodomy are mutually inclusive. I'm not really sure you can have one without the other.
