For those of you not familary with Sean Hannity, he is a big mouthed coward who is widely listened to by George II supporters. Hannity is one of the leaders of the Republican Party.

He has never served a day in the military but actively advocates for military adventurism and actively support torture like waterboarding. In fact, he said on the record that he would volunteer to be waterboarded for a charity that benefited the families of our military.

Well he has yet to fulfill his commitment. A CNBC host have offerred to donate a thousand dollars for every minute Hannity endures the waterboarding. We have the cash, the waterboard but no hannity...not suprising for a chicken hawk!

Its great for the other guy and the other guys family to bleed but not me...what a coward!!! Hannity has been exposed for the fraud he is.

Please explaind how he is a coward.
Let go of the George II excuse for all that you don't like. Start looking at where President Obama is taking the country and you will understand why people who think that the constitution and the founding fathers are worth something.
Really? I don't think so. He is very up front about the things that the now out of office Republicans did the people who want less government spending, less government control in our lives, and truth in their words. Hannity call out Bush all the time. You obviously hope that some of you peers here will take your word for who Hannity is and what he stands for. He is an American patriot. He values family, God given rights, freedom, liberty and the persuit of happiness. Where do you stand on these things?
I know Hannity and respect him, and if he promised to do it for charity he will do it.

But wow, how generous of CNBC. $1,000 per minute. That should cost them about $100 since waterboarding lasts for mere seconds at a time.
Interesting link. I bet it happens. Let me point out that I was right, waterboarding per your link is measured in seconds, not minutes. Read your link again. The offer is $1000 per second according to the AOL article.

And holy smokes, the offer was made a few days ago and you have labeled Hannity a coward and a fraud. Will you take it back if he does it?

I enjoy Hannity and he is nothing like you make him out to be. You don't have some agenda that is furthered by belittling great Americans do you?

The OP is unfair and demonstrably untrue. Hannity was decidedly against military adventures when the adventures occurred under Clinton's watch.

Under Clinton, every military adventure was using our boys lives for a humanitarian intervention without clear objectives or an exit strategy. Every time Clinton went after Osama bin Laden it was a waste designed to "wag the dog," distract us from Monica Lewinski and use our fine military as a political marketing tool.

Sean Hannity is very clear, that shit only flies when your name is followed by an "GOP".

    Get your facts in order!

pfft.. tell us something we don't know..

Hannity is a coward if not from this, but from his hate hannity hotline.. how convienient that instead of debating with them, he gets to cherry pick the ones that make him look good, or the ones that make the "other" side sound bad.

It is well known since George II took office, Hannity has held the position that you have to support the troops...under any and all conditions. And integral to that position, he has stated on numerous occasions that you cannot support the troops without supporting their mission (for you dunderheads and koolaid drinkers that equals war).

    http://www.newshounds.us/2006/09/16/chickenhawk_sean_hannity_condemns_veterans_against_torture.php

Hannity who said he would support our troops by going through the waterboarding exercise, now wants to payoff the charity rather than earn money for the charity and demonstrate his position that waterboarding is not torture as he originally promised. If it is not torture, and if he volunteered to do it in order to support the troops; which he has for years claimed is important; is he not supporting the troops and demonstrating that waterboarding is not torture? Could it be because his old chicken hawk yellow is showing?

The problems for the dunderheads and koolaid drinkers is that the the facts are in evidence and very much in order. It is so very unfortunate for the nation that these dunderheads and koolaid drinkers are too fearful to pull their heads out of their rectums and take a serious hard look at the facts and evidence.

Simply saying that something is demonstrable is not proof. Where is the proof? And of course these guys have never produced such evidence, because none exists.

If hannity does do the waterboarding gig, i will apologize. But he isn't going to do the waterboarding gig. What will you do if hannity does or does not do the waterboarding gig? I suspect you will not change at all. You will not reexamine your positions. Instead you will continue to drink the the koolaid and continue to know the bliss of Republican dittoism.

Don't let fact ever get in the way of idealogy:

But he would never endanger his life or sacrafice any of his pleasures for anyone other than himself. I am still waiting for the clown to voluntarily submit to waterboarding.

Torture advocates are among the dregs of humanity

This is one of those strange discussions where a bunch of macabre shit comes out at once.

    (1) Hannity is a coward? Okay, but was this episode really the clincher? Perhaps. He's already established himself as a liar and a sleazebag. Typically, cowardice is inherent in that combination. Calling Hannity a coward is a little like saying water is wet. It's part of his essential nature.

    (2) The only real question of whether or not waterboarding is torture exists in the minds of hatemongering sadists whose best contribution to humanity would be their self-determined exit.

    (3) I don't know about the CNBC offer, but MSNBC's Keith Olbermann pledged $1,000/second and offered to double his pledge if Hannity honestly admits that he feared for his life before he broke.

    (4) Waterboarding is, as Draqon pointed out, an effective interrogation method. The fake confessions you can wring out of people by torturing them are pretty amazing. One of Olbermann's guests in the last week or so that this controversy has been running said that he could get Hannity to confess that Countdown is his favorite television show. Historically, waterboarding has inspired more false confessions than true.

What I'd really like to see is a truly determined person literally push it until their heart goes. Seeing Hitchens break after eleven seconds, or maybe Hannity will get twelve? When you can make it end at any time just by giving a signal, there is a bit of comfort to be found in that. But if Americans see a limp body dragged off the board as EMTs start pulling away wet clothing in order to shock life back into the subject, if they see one of their own blond-haired, blue-eyed, "all-American" kids having to be resuscitated simply because he wasn't ready to give over to the torture? Yeah, when their Christos Zeffirelli is dying before their eyes, there will be only one pro-torture argument left: That whoever is being tortured should just tell the interrogators what they want to hear in hopes of ending it.

And therein lies the problem. It's quite obvious, judging by the broader defense of torture the American advocates are putting up, that it doesn't matter whether the what the torturers want to hear is true or not.

And that's just fucking disgusting. From the outset, people have been listening to the horrendous lies told by the torture advocates. And from the outset, it has been somehow unfair, politically incorrect or whatever, to call these people what they are. Monsters. Evil. Repugnant. Cancers upon the human species.

You know, this isn't like "buy American cars" or country vs. prog. This is one of those fundamental issues that characterize people. The torture advocates simply lust for human damage. They don't care if the confessions are true. They don't care that torture only raises animosity and inspires human destruction. They just want to see some A-rab get his ass tortured.

Now, I don't particularly like country music, and don't want it around my kid. But that's just one of those things. Can't avoid it, and it's not worth politicizing such vapid shit for stylistic preferences. But something like torture? You can be a priest, a journalist, an optometrist, a retail clerk, the guy who hands me food through a window at Wendy's .... No. This ain't like country. I don't like that shitty music written for the mild amusement of retarded people, but there comes a point at which I can cope with it. No, this is something much more. I don't want you around my kid, ever. I don't think you should be raising kids at all yourselves. Ever. Because in this world we criminalize people who teach their kids how to make or sell drugs, or to rape and murder, but apparently we should praise those who teach their kids that, "But they made me do it!" is an acceptable excuse for sadism and carnage.

Advocating torture is the kind of shit that isn't worth even trying to scrape off your shoe. Just throw the fucking shoe away and wear something else. Really, torture is that toxic and its advocates that disgusting.

I don't advocate torture, but I believe it works. It doesn't matter if they get a mixture of true and false information, all they want is the information. After that, it's just a matter of doing what they do best, sorting through lots of information and finding out what's valuable. Tapping phones works, but you get lots of worthless information too. At least they have something to work with.
