One time I was in a club and wearing a shirt that tied in the back, minding my own damn business, and some motherfucker yanked the ties right out, trying to get to my goods. WTF? I threw my drink in his face and he left me alone.

Why do some people (I won't say just men because girls are just as awful at clubs too) feel that they have the right to do this shit?

Should I wear a horse blanket to protect myself? Should I frequent a club that I hate just so I won't get groped? Why should I change my uninvasive, perfectly acceptable behavior to avoid people's weird fucking impulses?

I don't know, VI. You seem to handle it better then me. When someone touches me (I mean really gropes or makes it obvious that they are chester molesters) I just lose it. I get loud and in their face. Sometimes I try and walk away, but the "louts" usually follow and then I just want to hurt someone.

I don't understand why anyone, not just men, feel that it is okay to touch another person inappropriately and then use drunkeness as an excuse.

Fuck them.

I've never done that to anyone and I've never purposely hurt anyone unless I was defending myself or a loved one.

Yes, there is a responsibility to do both of the above. If I could wave my magical wand and make all those drunken groping bastards and bitches behave in a responsible fashion, I would. But given that I can't, the only other option is to just avoid places where such behaviour is likely to occur. If such a thing was happening in a public place which I couldn't avoid, I'd raise hell. But private establishments are different, it's really no skin off my ass if I don't go to the bar every Friday.

It's strange how some people seem to think I'm trying to justify the loutish and irresponsible behaviour of drunks, because I'm not. All I'm saying is that if you don't enjoy an environment where people are drunk and grabby, it might be a good idea to avoid nightclubs/bars where people are drunk and grabby.

By the way, am I the only one who is dismayed that visceral_instinct is mind-boggled by the observation that drunken guys at bars/clubs get grabby? If you want to meet guys who won't grope your tits in a drunken haze, you should be frequenting a place which isn't a club/bar. For you to say that young men at bars are louts is like saying that people at orgies are overly horny animals, or that people at Bon Jovi concerts are retarded. It's essentially a 'No shit, Sherlock!' observation.

 

I've never had this kind of problem because I don't hang out in places where this kind of scum can be found.

Some japanese business man type sitting next to me in the bus put his hand on my thigh once though. I slapped his face and jumped over him (I was by the window) and ran to the back of the bus. Everyone in the bus started to laugh and clap for some reason. I got off at the next stop and got another bus.
