I think in this kind of place people tend to be drunk, and drunk people tend to do crazy things.

 

Generally no, if someone gets obviously drunk they're usually escorted out.

Mostly fall over or start fights.

Yes T, but until we can address the root of the problem, that's exactly the mindset that women should have (not so much for society as a whole, but the club and bar scenes)...moreso for their own well being than anything else.
That's not necessarily my personal opinion, as everyone should have the right to be left alone if they so desire.
BUT, you know as well as I do that there are countless jackass guys out there that don't respect anything, particularly women.

I find that solution, stopgap measure, or whatever we might describe it as just a bit too convenient for the ill-conducted men, and also a bit unhealthy not only for women but society as a whole.

We saw in that other thread how far people are willing to take this idea.

I stopped going to clubs because of the drinking and molestation. In my experience drunk guys don't handle rejection well, so they assume you must be joking or being coy. I don't know what's wrong with them. "Leave me alone" does not mean "play with my breasts" or maybe I haven't learned club language. :shrug: I've already gotten in trouble for physical assault before I don't need to add to my criminal record. So I stay away, unless my friends drag me (kicking and screaming the whole way).

 

Two things...

One...in our society it is mostly seen as acceptable aka "boys wll be boys" for men to grope and ogle women at will whether the women like it or not. This gives many men the ok they want.

Two...in our society is seen that if women were to return the favor to men aka "grope and ogle" that men would enjoy it and not care, thus diminishing the women's argument and making men into objects, the very thing women are arguing against.

It's a bunch of hypocritical BS. Unless the social order changes, men will grope and ogle and women will bitch and everyone will secretly either enjoy both or none.

Whatever. I say just give someone a good smack if they touch you the wrong way.
