I was reading online earlier in the week that a copy of this movie had been leaked. No joke, I have a strict rule about paying for the stuff I view, but on a whim I poked around some search engines and actually found a real, ALMOST DVD quality copy of the movie (1.3gb)... downloaded it and it turned out to be real. Stunning. I wonder what WB stands to lose off of this huge leak? ~String
Just be careful String. They were talking about that on the news all morning Friday. This seems to be gettign more attention than other pirated movies. I'm just wondering if they are going to keep a sharper eye out for downloaders and what not.
The question is why this movie? How come this case of piracy is generating the righteous indignation and not the many before it?
Origins was awful, It's even worse than X-3. Gavin Hood wasn't even allowed to make the film he was hired to make. The infamous Fox Film Executive Tom Rothman made the decison ****SPOILER**** To turn Dead Pool into a Zombie that was remote controlled by General Stryker. That's an en excusable abomination of the character. Also, Rothman wouldn't even allow Gavin Hood to dictate the look of his movie. Sets would be changed overnight under the orders of Rothman because he felt his idea's were more valuable then the Director. It's impossible for any Superhero movie to made correctly at Fox. Until they get rid of Rothman that is.
Ah...I know why they're vexed...the workprint was leaked. The version of the movie that has no visual effects editing. It's the equivalent of publicizing how a magician performs his feats. Except this risks a million dollar industry Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Ganymede is right, this film is a hot mess. It was ruined by the ego of a studio executive, and the actors involved are going to regret playing these roles. Rothman should be ousted over this. The man is a disgrace who knows nothing about creating films.
Totally correct. Admittedly, I haven't read any X-Men related books since the mid 90's, but as far as I could tell, this flicked violated so much of the canon it disturbed me. Maybe sometime in the late 90's all of Wolverine's history, as well as that of the X-Men in general, was re-written, but to me, this flick was rife with blatant errors. And I thought it was bad enough in X-3 where they had Angel as a kid while the rest of the crew was older.... arrrg
Wolverine's backstory has been absolutely demolished in the comicbooks. The more popular he gets, the more they try to flesh out all the crazy things from his past to the point that it has gotten ridiculous.
Ha Ha, did you guys read that the Final Version of Origins has been viewed and it's the exact same version of the work print we saw. The only thing added in the new version is a small cameo by Patrick Stewart. It doesn't surprise me that FOX lied and insisted that the workprint wasn't the final version. Once the plot of X-3 leaked Rothman lied and said that everything we heard like Xavier, Scott & Jean dying was totally bogus and in the end it turned out to be true.
