WHY would the laws of physics be different?

Eternal has to do with time. Maybe you mean infinite.

The universe is definitely real. Maybe you mean genuine.

Only if you have no clue as to what you're talking about.

If you can't see that then well I really feel sorry for you.

I second that. What a douche. I'm really getting sick and tired of scientists knocking on religion and being so arrogant. You know people who brag about knowledge are actually insecure of their stupidity. There's no reason to bash other people's views.

Feel sorry for yourself: what you have is superstition not sense.

    Ooh, miss the point much?
    Or altogether, maybe?
Come back when you've learnt something.

If you read my thread about dark energy and the universe in this topic, i mentioned that the universe is continuing to expand without slowing down implying that it never will which means that the universe cannot be a closed system because energy is entering the universe allowing it to keep expanding the name of the energy is dark energy. And if the universe is not a closed system something must be acting upon it and that something isn't part of our universe which implies there is something outside of our universe.

Now very little is known about dark energy. Everything i have just said is fairly recent speculation.

Unless the initial velocity of expansion was greater than "escape velocity".

The "escape velocity" is the speed at which the expansion continues forever - where the universe overcomes its own gravity, so to speak.

I wouldn't say that the increasing expansion rate of space implies that it will expand forever. For all we know, the dark energy will eventually become an attractive force that will pull the universe back together. I mean, just because it's speeding up now doesn't mean it always will.

What you imagine is based on delusions from a book about tribal superstitions.

This is a science forum. If you want to babble about superstition, go to a religious forum. Reasoned views are one thing. Bible-for-brains is another.

Sane people call them delusions. If you knew bug-all about the bible, you would not be a superstitionist.

I see faces in the clouds so there must be gods up there. I have thousands of photographs for proof.

The old testament has a god who lives in the clouds above us where stars are fires there, so can fall to Earth. The Earth is flat (even in the NT), and the Sun orbits the Earth and can stop in one place for a day and even move backwards in it's orbit. Stars can even travel at FTL speeds (star of Bethlehem) and the Moon shines by it's own light. But this comes from people who put mental and physical illnesses down to demons and use their hearts to think with (which is obvious when you read what they wrote).
