I don't think that's what Mike believes in though.

I don't really. Plus, unless I knew both your character traits AND was as familiar with the other 11 signs as I was with my own, I wouldn't have a clue.

I will use another example though...Shorty. Even though I already knew she is a Scorpio, it didn't surprise me that she was one.

I am pretty sure the Enmos is a Taurus, but I might be wrong.

He's stubborn, but grounded and balanced. Very practical and pragmatic, but also with a bit of the tenderness that Taurens often show.

Let us look at astrology from the beginning. It was based on how certain planets were aligned with other planets and other astronomical things as well. Those that began astrology only had a few planets to go by because they didn't know about all of the other planets until telescopes were invented and not until the year 1934 or so Pluto, the final planet, or so they thought it was a planet, was discovered. So if they didn't even know about all of the planets how can they ever have made a true astrological calculation based on false or lacking information they were dealing with? Not only that they also didn't take anything else into account like comets, asteroids .

How did the Mayans have an astronomical calendar that was as accurate as it was?
Don't sit there and tell me that ancient civilizations were totally clueless about the cosmos.

Every tried to pick out the constellations..like Libra for example... and it's not all because of light pollution.

Most the stars in a constellation aren't even close to each other in 3d space

Pluto remains a planet in NM.....

Cosmo... your Pluto is in Leo.. so my Tarot cards tell me

Tarot cards aren't really the same thing because it requires interaction between two parties, both which could have influence.

I still want to know if Enmos is a Taurus.

oh but there is the interaction of the moon and stars relative to the individuals.

and you can read you own cards

I believe all things are interconnected in some way, yes. And I also believe that we ignore our intuition far too much in favour of beliefs and have lost touch with those connections.

I have personally never experienced a tarot card reading, so I don't know.

I feel that way sometimes myself, but hey I'm in a major new age town and it's really ironic as there is one of the biggest players in science close by... some bad karma up there too.

I do find the studies of the number of Gemini's that are bi-polar pretty amazing .. but hey good thing we have meds that are more powerful than planetary influences

Star sign traits are generally so vague and varied that virtually anyone who reads them ends up thinking "hey, that sounds just like me!" even when it only bears a slight resemblance. Obviously given the huge number of people born with each sign there are going to be some pretty good match-ups, some pretty poor ones, and mostly around 50% mark I would say.
They're also different depending on who writes them.

I read all 12 once, and personally I found I exhibit around 50% of listed traits for each star sign, a lot were repeats worded differently. I've had some better match-ups, and some really bad ones depending on where they come from. Maybe I have a really varied personality, but mostly I think it's just coincidence and psychology.

As if something so arbitrary as the day you're born on can actually affect your personality!(unless it's a special holiday, like x-mas).

Actually, a starsign for the day you were conceived would make (relatively) more sense.

Why would two people born on the same day exhibit the same personality on that sole basis?

A Clue: the answer is they wouldn't.
