Are sodium or potassium salts of TRIS readily available? If so, where and what is the chemical formula?

    Thanks

All of the information I have suggests that it acts as a base, rather than an acid, acting to gain a proton and form the Ammonium salts rather then loose a proton from one of the three alcohol groups.

There's at least one toxicity study that uses Tris as a counter ion for analgesics with a carboxylate group, and TRIS(HYDROXYMETHYL)AMINOMETHANE HYDROCHLORIDE, is availavle (CAS # 1185-53-1)
