The Nanking Massacre, commonly known as the Rape of Nanking, was a genocidal war crime committed by the Japanese military in Nanjing (Nanking), then the capital of the Republic of China, after it fell to the Imperial Japanese Army on December 13, 1937.

Following a German-staged "Polish attack" on 31 August 1939, on September 1, German forces invaded Poland from the north, south, and west

Estimates of the death count vary, with most reliable sources holding that 200,000 to 300,000 Chinese civilians were massacred in this period

If the mass murder of 300,000 civilians is not considered the start of a world war... then what is?

No one said you did not need feet on the ground. But Hitler did need long range bombers and to use his bombs more effectively. By not destryoing Allied airpower he allow the Allies to destroy his war making infrastructure before his eyes...and he was powerless to stop it.

And if you cannot supply your troops on the ground, you are in deedp poo poo.

I wonder if he had been doing speed long before he even came to power. This would account for many of his decisions.

WW2 can be said to have started with the japanese invasion of manchuria in '39, of course the war with america didn't start until late '41.
by then britain was on the ropes.

hitlers biggest mistake was in not obliterating the british army at dunkirk.
his second biggest mistake was in not invading britain immediately afterwards.
instead he chose to take on russia which of course was his third mistake.

if poland had modern equipment the polish army would have stomped hitlers guts out.

He diverted men and matierials to Russia.

The Russians barely beat him back. If he had started with Russia, He would have finished there by 1943. Then turned his attention to the rest of the world.

It is doubtful he would have finished off Russia. The guy was a madman.

If he had declared war on Japan instead of America after Pearl Harbour, he would have won the War.
There are a lot of people of German descent in America. Few in Japan.
    He could have justified it.

That is a very profound thought. America could not have gone to war in Europe against Germany if Germany had quickly declared war on Japan.

Hitler had too many internal character flaws to continue to effectively govern or run a war.

Assuming there is an after life, what does Hitler say to all those he has wronged? What does he say to all those he has hurt?
