I never really cared for the original Vegas because I didn't like that there was no background stories of the detectives. I do watch the miami now, probably just for the scenery, and I still have to watch a full episode of NYC.

At least in the Miami everybody is a babe (the girls) and I like the yellow-brown filter they use. Not to mention the scenery is beautiful. Horatio doesn't act much though. I just watched the part when he went to brazil and they had the most ridiculous shotout scene ever. He came back from Brazil right away...

Which series do you watch and why?

Each series has a different colored filter, I am not sure why. By the way Miami is the most watched show on Earth right now overtaking the original one...

P.S.: The episode called Ambush has Elizabeth Berkley in it and I think some storyline too, but I haven't noticed it...

CSI: Vegas is the best. I don't like the others, though I did used to watch CSI: Miami, but mostly for Adam Rodriguez. Otherwise, the original is still the best, especially the Tarantino directed episode.

Then I got ito Miami; Caruso is perfectly cast as Horatio and his deathly stares and staccato words always cracks me up.
I could never get into CSI NY though

Well, Caruso's caracter has no acting range. ANYONE could play that part. I guess one could call it cool, but it is just range-less....

I liked some of the CSI:Vegas, the insect stuff was cool. But the story lines are tedious. The others are rubbish.

Nah, disagree. Its not supposed to be a movie. He makes it because he is limited. Its when he's pushed or there is a personal element, where his range extends, not much, but enough to be entertainng.

CSI: Miami and then CSI: NY. NY grew on me, and I watch it when I catch it. I think I watch the not new season of the NY one. But I havent gotten fimilar with the character names on the NY one. I only remember the name Stella-- the one with the curly hair.

The Calign Ducaine on csi miami got a sexy walk and sexy voice.

well, if i had to choose between the three of them, i'd pick CSI Vegas. I do think its better than the other two.

Really, though, it is my opinion that there are simply too many of that type of show. CSI Vegas, CSI Miami, CSI New York, Law and Order, Law and Order Criminal Intent, Law and Order SVU, Cold Case, Without a Trace, Numbers, Life, etc. way too many cops/investigators type shows.

btw of all of those listed above, i like Life the best...

NCIS is better than the CSIs, though I watch them all. Not every week, but when its convenient. The Mentalist is the next great cop show.

I agree. David Caruso can't act. He seems to be able to remember only about 4-8 words at a time. Typical lines for him in CSI Miami have him cocking his head enigmatically and saying something like "But ... is it?"

Count the number of times he says more than one sentence in a single take. It would make a good drinking game.

Just to distinguish them, and to give the CSI series a recognisable signature, I think.

In my house we don't refer to the CSIs as Miami, Vegas, NY. We just call them CSI Orange, CSI Blue and CSI Grey.

i do love the Miami series, i think Horatio is brilliant, but some of the other actors remind me of carboard cut outs and not very good actors,

Vegas is the best because of characters and humour, especially Brass (Paul Guilfoyle).

Gil Grissom: Hey, Grissom you got something stuck on your shoe.
    Gil Grissom: [looks]
Captain Jim Brass: Never mind, it's just Sanders.

Gil Grissom: A Harvard professor conducted an experiment. Asked a bunch of students to watch a basketball game - count the number of times the ball was passed.
    Captain Jim Brass: Yeah? Groundbreaking.
Gil Grissom: During the game a person dressed in a gorilla suit ran across the court. Afterward, the professor asked the students if they noticed the gorilla. Fifty percent responded, “what gorilla?”
Captain Jim Brass: That’s wonderful, Gil. If I see a gorilla, I’ll arrest it.

    Others are cool too.

Warrick Brown: Who brings a gun to a knife fight?
    Gil Grissom: The winner?

Miami puts a lot of unnecessary explanations in every scene. Even if you know what's happening, high-pitched voice of Emily Procter will explain the scene additionally which can be irritating.
Also, as show progresses you must turn your TV for 90 degrees in order to see Horatio properly. I mean this cocking and meaningless one liners... Sheesh.

NY was 'back on the track' for all fans. But I like Vegas.

I really don't watch any of them on a "regular " basis but have seen episodes of all of them. They each have there own style that make them unique but they all still have the same plots , just told in different ways. Since I only view them on occasion I can't say which one is any better than the other. One has more of a gritty feel, another a rather slick look and another a realistic feel. They all entertain somewhat and that's about all they do.

Miami is the only one of them that I watch and Emily Procter is the main reason that I watch it to begin with.

Procter gets on my nerves. Caruso is worse.

In terms of knowledge and content, I like CSI Vegas. I prefer Bones and House to all the CSI for the same reason.

Oh I just watch the show to see her. Her character on the show is a complete bitch that I prolly wouldn't want to hang out with though.

Generally what I don't like about these type of shows is the lack of background of the main characters. Most of the time i don't care about the case, but I like the interaction between the actors.
My favorite is Life, again, not because of the cases, but how the 3-4 main character talks to each other and the philosophical approach.

So coming down to look, I prefer Miami, because it looks gorgeaus, and at least have babes. Hey it had Elizabeth Berkeley in it!!!

That's why NCIS is my favorite law enforcement show. That and the fact that I'm a former Marine.
I didn't like it when Sasha Alexander left the show though. She was hot.

Is that the show where they have an Israeli agent? I've seen one or two. Everyone seemed cartoonish, the geek, the lothario, the feminist.
