Surely you're not SO politically correct that you refuse to call a spade a spade.

But nonetheless, I propose nominee #1: OilIsMastery, for his continued insistence that the Earth is getting bigger, in spite of all evidence to the contrary. Specifically, for his eagerness to abandon a well-tested scientific theory for an ill-defined hypothesis, which extends beyond mere plate tectonics.

    Evidence:

    Ok, this is fair.

But these aren't. You can't nominate someone just because they disagree with/hate you, especially on a subjective thing such as politics. You CAN nominate someone you disagree with on an objective subject, such as physics or math. If that's the case, then there is a clear right and a clear wrong. In politics, "right" and "wrong" is often a function of what side of a border you live on.

Q-who can only argue a point by misrepresenting what has been said, or by tossing insults to goad response in kind. Q is either stupid or so narrowly closed minded the ability to think outside of his little world has withered and died.

Lixluke-who is so confident that he is right, he insists on his position being the only one to "intelligent" people. Nobody has made philosophy a misery like lixluke.

You have to understand lixluke, he has been here a very long time.

I find I can often see his point of view. He takes the solipsist view of everything. It comes off as self involved.

Well I dont think cheski know much math or physics, I think he knows how to use wikipedia, thats about it. So I think he can qualify as an ignoranti.

as for BuffaloRoam and anthonywayne, just browse through their posts in the politics forum, they are total nutjobs. That qualifies them as well. They support ultra-con republicans, who are perfectly okay with the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer, I think that's pretty ignorant and well educated people should be able to realize that its only fair to give everyone an equal shot. Basically, they support republicans who see nothing wrong with this picture:

Hmmm...then you'd better nominate me, too.

Those things aside, I'd prefer if the rampant trolling which happens in the politics and world events fora didn't spill over here.

It's a difference of opinions---there's no facts when it comes to the proper thing to do for the economy. If you don't believe me, then go find ten economists, and ask them what they'd do. I guarantee that you'll get AT LEAST ten different answers. The problem isn't one on "Main Street", the problem is a Wall Street problem. That means that there should be a Wall Street solution. Simply divy-ing up $700 billion dollars among Americans won't do anything to help Chase or ING. At most, that's one mortgage payment, maybe two.

But, either way, this isn't the thread to discuss it

I'd much rather talk about what an idiot OilIsMastery is.

    Devils advocate for a moment:

    The picture is highly misleading.
    1) The banks are also in trouble, "on fire" so to speak.
    2) A major bank going bankrupt, never mind several, has a major detrimental effect on the economy and ultimately effects everybody.
    3) You don't have to help banks at the exclusion of everyone else, some of those fire fighters could put out some of the other fighters.

And yes, OIM is staggeringly idiotic.
