ironically enough child sexual abuse is actually the SMALLEST catigory of child abuse, sexual abuse in general is in the lower levels in every catigory except 18-25 year old girls (from memory)

neglect and then physical abuse are the 2 largest catigories (though this could be because the statistics on emotional abuse are serverly lacking (this should get ALOT more atention concidering the studies on child emotional abandonment and the ape study someone posted here a week or so ago). The really ironic thing is for young children the abuser is MUCH more likly to be the MOTHER (probably due to the time spent around the children)

But it is a man, and we know that men only exist to abuse and rape women and children.

Good for the little girl! What did Jed have to say about all this? Yes the culture breeds alot of ignorance. Normal culture's wouldn't give it a second thought if she hugs somebody, but we live in a culture where everybody is radically hands off. Girls shouldn't hug men because all men are rapists.

While mom is making an ass of herself, Jed is over there fondeling little Jenny.

I don't know about Jed. We all have to be interviewed now, the girl hasn't come back since the incident.

LOL no, by social services. As child care providers we have to report any evidence of abuse to them. Then they come do their interviews of everybody, then they go the child's family. Interview the child and her relatives. It's a whole process.

Cutsie who belived there was enough evidence of abuse from that statement from the child that they reported it to DOCS???

Im wondering if it was the fact that she hugged him and some moron reported that or if it was her comment about the other guy or what?

The little girl made a comment about somebody named Jed grabbing on her privates. Apparantly, the staff is being interviewed about the girl's comments. This is why I stay away from little girls at the daycare. When I used to do counseling and coordinate activities, the rule was for males to only do counseling for male kids.

Some of the kids have family medical insurance that pays for counseling. I had to monitor and counsel 10 boys with behavioral and psychological problems. The mental health clinic sent me to the daycare center specifically for that purpose. However, the staff at the daycare center had other plans for me. They were pretty much using me to chaperone all the kids in the whole facility. While the little girls were lots of fun to play with, I tended to avoid the rougher play that I did with the boys simply because you never know what people might think. Either way, I spent most of my time with my 10 designated patients.

I think the whole reason I'm happy about the fact that they have the rule about male counselors only being allowed to have male patients is that the little girls get really jealous, and want you all for themselves all the time. It can be really really annoying, and can also put me at risk for being accused of sexual harassment.

you should try working in the abulance service

talk about uncomfertable moments (for me mostly, the pts were used to it)

But seriously in hospitals in general you have a choice of gender of your doctors, nurses ect. This is more about pt comfert than acusations of abuse, for instance some men prefer to talk about sexal problems with women and others with men. Women in general seem to prefer women for that kind of consultation.

with rape victoms its even MORE important that the pt choses the gender of the staff, which is why the ambulance service try to send mix gender crews to these cases so the pt can chose the atending.

the same with mental health cases, it should be the pt who choses the gender of the psychologist\shrink to make them as comfertable in the relationship as possable
