Yeah, and 'what works' is sometimes the problem. I'm not going to elaborate, because my previous posts in this thread should have already summed that up.
I'm not even close to being one of those guys.
If you get a few free minutes, go google the characteristics and traits of a Capricorn (which is what I am). Most of them fit me to a tee. Then you'll understand where I'm coming from.

If you refuse to do it simply because of the fact that two males are in the house, then yes, it's because you have a vag.
And by that logic, Orly, those 'two penises' should also refuse to do any housework (like laundry, cooking, and cleaning) because there is already a vag in the house to do it for them.
What's good for the goose, is good for the gander.

If I ever get married (god forbid), then AFAIC, both of us should be equally capable of doing anything and everything to keep the household going. If she expects me to help her with internal housework, then her ass better be ready and willing to help me with yardwork, car work and home improvement stuff.

They both do all three. I still don't shovel. I'll pay someone to do it. I refuse to do it.

You must have missed the post where I called my husband up at work and bitched him out for not scraping my car windows one freezing morning. Hell yeah I EXPECT him to do things for me. And when he doesn't, I DEMAND them. I make my husband's life comfortable and easier. I don't think its wrong to expect your spouse to do the same.

I don't find bitchy women to be near as horrible as the martyrs. When a man asks what's wrong and they say "oh nothing" and expect you to read their mind. That's a game I refuse to play.

I make my boyfriend do stuff that I don't want to do because I'm lazy and don't see the point of doing something when he'll do it for me. He's a soldier, so he's pretty good at following orders.

But if he said that he didn't want to do it, I would do it, but it makes him feel manly to help me out so I'm really helping him out right

. I do the samething with my best friend, my brother and my dad. Why do it if they're willing to? I'd do it to my mother, but she won't do stuff for me if can't see why I can't do it. Men are just easy to manipulate so I admit I do some manipulating. I know it's bad, but they shouldn't be so chivalrous if the don't want to do it. They could just say so.

Well while you are at it google Scorpio, and that's me a to T pretty much.
    LOL.......Scary shit!

I cut the grass, shovel snow, cook, clean, paint, fix plumbing, electrical....I am a SHORTY OF ALL TRADES....

I don't do it ALL the time, esp since my 12 yr can now cut the grass and that is his job if he wants an allowance.

I ask for help in the house when I need it, other then that if I can do it, I just do. One of my neighbours wives (one of those nasty hideous bitches as you described) sits on her ass in a chair and directs the traffic so to speak while her husband does all the yard work and as she told my other neighbour he does the vacumming on a certain day and laundry too. She basically does fuck all. I don't get it! There is no way I would be running my ass off while Nietzsche just sat and watched me on his lawnchair...I would have to have rocks in my head.

Oh. Ok. I think it's a bit clearer. But let me make sure. Is it just shoveling itself that you don't like or any outdoor chore? Example, do like doing yardwork, etc.?

Before I flame you, did you ask him to scrape your windows, or did you TELL him to? And if you asked him to, did he say he was going to do it and didn't?

Woohoo!! We are in full agreement there!! e-high five!

You make him? Does that mean you tell him or ask him?
You're (well, not you, but women) not going to tell me to do anything. That shit just doesn't fly with me. You can ask me and I'll be happy to, but there will be no barking orders at me....

I spent 6 years in the Marines, so I know how to follow orders too, but (and your b/f should be this way too) I can also lay a nasty ass-chewing on someone who failed to do what I asked them as well.
BUT, in a relationship, my S.O. is not a drill instructor and she is not my Officer in Charge, so she does not get to bark orders at me like they do, at least not w/o starting an argument that she will regret starting.

At least you can admit it.
But I am also aware of that and refuse to be manipulated. If you want me to do something, ask me nicely, do not tell me to and do not drop hints expecting me to read your freakin mind and do it anyway.
Likewise, if I want her to do something I will ask nicely. I will say please before and thank you after.
Now, like I said, I'm a 'what's good for the goose is good for the gander' type of guy, if there is something that she is just unable to do herself, I'll be glad to do it for her, but if it's just because she's too lazy(no offense) or just doesn't want to do it, then she can 'wish me to do it' in one hand and shit in the other and see which one gets filled first.

Guess I'm like your bitchy neighbor. Except I'm not really bitchy. And I don't make my boyfriend do everything just some stuff every now and then. But I don't understand why people do stuff if they don't want to. I mean unless something is in it for them. I mean they can always say no right? That's what I always do when my boyfriend asks me to do stuff, but then I do it anyway. I'm just cool like that...

HAHAHAHAHA!!!! My mom is a Scorpio. I'm well aware of them! If I could sum them up in one word, it would be 'spit-fire'. Hahahaha.
All the stuff you listed that you do around the house, my mom does that as well. She is very capable of those. She is retired Army.
But with her spit fire attitude and my intolerance for that attitude, has made for some interesting 'disagreements', some of which resulted in me hanging up the phone on her, and one time getting up off her couch and leaving her house (when she was giving me a condescending lecture when I was in college).

If your b/f is going to be that willing to do stuff for you, why not milk it.

My boyfriend pretty good at yelling at people when they piss him off or even if he just feels like being a prick. I never demand people do things always ask, (except for my brother sometimes if I'm looking after him for the weekend or something). My boyfriend has to know what I'm doing I mean I make it so obvious. "Baby, want to take out the trash for me?" *sweet smile*. Works every time.

I do all the raking and hedge trimming, warm weather stuff. He's supposed to do all the mowing, but our son does it. They both shovel.

His damn boat is in the garage. My car sits in the drive. He wants his boat in the garage he can shovel a path to my car and scrap my windows. Besides, I make sure he has coffee and a packed lunch every morning and I don't even drink coffee! Its give and take, not take take take take give take take take....

People treat you the way you let them treat you. I expect certain things and if I don't get them, I will call him at work and that damn boat can sit in the driveway.

Ohhhhhhhhhh. Ok. I getcha now. You don't like cold weather shit. I'm in full concurrence with you there. I hate cold weather too. Luckily it doesn't get that cold in the winter here in Nashville so I don't have to worry about it too much.
Over the past 5 years we've averaged about two 'snows' per year, and those were all of 2" of accumulation that took less than two days to melt. So I don't have to do any shovelling.

Ok, in that case. The ass-chewing you laid on him was warranted.
However, just out of curiosity, what was his excuse when you laid into him?

I agree there. But I think if I knew I screwed something up and you were going to call me at work, I'd screen my calls.

LOL, you say that as if I have never driven out to his work to give him that ass chewing.

I have also driven out to his work with a grill and cooked them all burgers and hot dogs for lunch. I have also driven out there with several grocery bags full of ice cream bars for a snack on break.

    give and take

HAHA! You guys consider the guy not scraping off her windows PRETTY BAD? Unforgettable? OMG Nietzsche got it easy then. I don't find that a big deal at all, definitely not something I would ever call him at work and bitch him out over.

If he was in a hurry, I could see that happening occasionally.
BUT, IMO, give and take would be just not saying a word, then going ahead and de-icing your window yourself and then handing him his ass when he got home.
    Shit happens.

Haha. He must work at a pretty relaxed facility. I work for Verizon supporting and travelling to seven retail stores, but I'm based at a huge business office/call center. Unless you have an access badge/card, they won't even let you in the parking lot, let alone the building itself. I wouldn't have to worry about my S.O. showing up to chew me out.

Nice. I'm impressed. You seem to have a pretty good grasp on the give and take.

He remembered to make a path to his truck and scrape his windows. He calls me every day at work and I'd rather not yell at him in my less than private cubicle.

He's the boss and I'm the boss's wife. They know me.

Ooooooooooh. Yeah. I can't defend him anymore after that statement. Kinda hard to b/s the Mrs. out of that one.

Ok, he 'forgets' to scrape the ice off your windows, even though he knows to and does his, yet calls you knowing he's going to catch hell. I'm starting to question his intelligence. He must be glutton for ridicule.

If I called Nietzsche at work bitching him out for stuff he didn't do around the house, or in this instance the snow thing. I think he would tell me to stop fucking calling him and wait till he got home. If I showed up to his work to chew his ass out, he would be livid, not that I ever would.
