If you want, you can google it, but then replace some names or anything specific
to avoid people copy pasting the puzzle into google. For example, if the object
in the puzzle is orange, you can switch it with apple...

Anyway it's just an idea, it doesn't have to be like that. Alternatively, you
can make a code.. something like this:

Neila na si rednammoc esab eht
In which if we read backward will become "the base commander is an alien"

Of course you don't tell us that we have to read it backward to solve it...
or you use number to replace alphabet... if nobody can solve it, you can give
    more hints time by time...

Or whatever you think is easy.. something that will make players have chance
to save themselves by doing a little effort.

PLUS running the game, thats a little more time than i have to commit to an internet game, i have exams soon

Ok, no worries, Asguard, I guess it's also too complicated.

I thought the game was fairly well balanced. The humans had so much potential power that the aliens had to decide who was most important to convert first.

The game started with only 2 aliens on the first day. There was a danger that the game could have ended right there.

If the Doctor and the Biologist had been protected, or even if one of them had been consistently protected, then the humans would have had a good shot at converting back at least one alien during the game.

The way things were set up, if one alien was revealed, then that alien would most likely know of at least 2 other aliens. The humans could change back 2 aliens per day, potentially, and kill one with a vote.

Initially, I was worried that the aliens didn't have much chance. I deliberately set things up so that the aliens would most likely last a couple of days at least, but after that the humans might well win if they got their act together.

To give the aliens more of a fighting chance, there was one additional alien conversion on night 2. Also, later on in the game another alien was given the power to convert one extra person once during the game, which he used on night 4. These extra conversions would definitely have been necessary to alien survival if any aliens had been revealed, or the humans would surely win.

What let down the humans badly in the game as it played out was in using their powers essentially randomly, rather than thinking about who the aliens would target next for conversion. There was a lot of suspicion flying around, based on very little. But nobody bothered suggesting that the antidote people be protected, or (later) that the Base Commander ought to swap some roles among suspicious players, just in case.

With no aliens being revealed, the aliens became dominant quite quickly. If a single alien had been revealed on day 2 or 3, the game would have played out quite differently, and probably would have lasted much longer.

The order of conversions to aliens, by the way, was:

Original aliens: Enmos, unixgeek13 (taken over by phoenix2634 after the Mechanic was killed)
    NIGHT 1: inzomnia
NIGHT 2: 11parcal, who immediately also converted anti-climactic
    NIGHT 3: nietzschefan
NIGHT 4: BlueMoose converted by anti-climactic's special one-off power. sisyphus__ converted by majority vote.
    NIGHT 5: Asguard

    So...

After night 1, there were still 2 antidotes in play and two role-swaps
After night 2, there was only 1 antidote in play and no role swaps
After night 3, there were no antidotes in play and no role swaps

Essentially, it was almost impossible for humans to win after night 3. But this wasn't because the game was unbalanced. Proper use of the Driver would have made a big difference, for a start. Dog feeding would have been very useful later, as the number of players reduced, as would the Security Guard's kill power (which, instead, he chose to waste on the first day).

The EM pulse was useful, but would have been more useful if it had been used on a more appropriate alien each night. Of course, this is not BlueMoose's fault: he couldn't know who the aliens were.

The hints I gave on DAY 3, all included pairs of players. In each pair, one player named was an alien, and one was not. These hints were not blatant, but could have perhaps been used more usefully than they were.

B0H was a renegade player, whose aim was to survive to the end. He was actually immune to alien conversion for the entire game, but chose to reveal this to the aliens. If they had not known and had tried to convert him, that would have been a wasted conversion attempt on one night, which would have helped the humans. So, another bad choice there to reveal his immunity.

In summary, I do not think by any means that the humans could not have won the game. From my point of view as moderator, some very strange decisions were made by the humans at various points, and those decisions cost them.

actually james it would have been better for him to revieal that on day 1, with the "big gun" he was a huge danger if converted from a humans perspective and there for my target at the start. I knew we probably wouldnt be able to find an alien day one but i stupidly thought getting rid of the caricters which would benfit the aliens at the start would be a good idea.

It would have been nice to have had his power at the end though, if we had something to threaten anticlimatic with we might have been able to get the second doctor back but you gave me the infomation WAY to late when there was symply nothing i could do with it. To be honest i missjudged the number of aliens as well i figured we were still just ahead day 4 when you gave me that but i couldnt for the life of me figure out how to a) convince enough people of that and b) make any use of it

enmos did play really well and i congratulate him for it

I was a little surprised that you guys didn't vote for me after I lied about Cheski though. Not that it would have mattered though, I only did it because we outnumbered you guys sufficiently so that revealing myself wouldn't matter anyway

Enmos, there wasnt any point and so i went with what james had told me. That if we were to have any chance i needed to be the doctor so i tried to get the comander to change my job. I knew it was futile but *shrugs*

Actually in the first couple of days, we (the aliens) did not communicate with
each other, because we were afraid that any of us will be converted back
to human. James didn't tell us who are the other aliens, except the one that
directly converted us, and the one that we prefer to convert the next night.

On the day 1, I was given the antidote, so I was confirmed human, but I
wasn't protected the next night (night 1). So that night I was converted into
alien (by Phoenix, James informed me). I then decided to investigate Enmos,
because if he is human, I plan to convert him the following night, so he
wouldn't investigate me. However my investigation revealed that he is also
my alien buddy. So I decided to clean my alien buddy:

    More strange thing happened:

Enmos, came out of nowhere...post #312:

    The respond (post #313):

    I just don't understand...

Somebody finally came out of his senses:

In which to that Enmos replied fairly:

    And then nobody said anything...

The next night, I was saved to the outstation... James then gave hint to Bluemoose:

He should have been suspicious.. if I were saved in the outstation, how could I 'escape'
    and interviewed him?

Congrats to you too Inzo, like I said too little too late, and it didnt help that everybody was voting and acting irrationally at the first days, I felt like every one was an alien

It was kinda hard digest all the game mechanics at the start since we have different rules to every game, oh yeah, if only I were killing you

...and the interview was done in the morning, not at night...

Not really, BlueMoose, actually the only one that win in this game is Enmos and
Phoenix, as they were the original aliens. On the first day, I could have investigated
    Enmos. Sorry

Oh well, lets see if we can do better in the next game (if there will be any).

Actually Enmos got really lucky, if he hadn't used his power on me they would have lost on the second day, since I antidoted him on the first day.

James seems kinda angry/disappointed in me, and he probably should be. I played this game terribly, of course, but there was just too much going on in this game for me to follow.

I think your kill could have been used later in the game, but I understand your panic when you thought everybody was voting for you on day 1.

As for revealing your immunity - I think maybe the aliens would have tried to convert you if you had not revealed it, and that would have been interesting. On the other hand, when they still had the doctor to convert they were unlikely to bother with you. Asguard made an interesting point above, though. If you had revealed your immunity on day 1, that might have given the other humans somebody to trust (provided they believed you).

I don't think it was your fault, by any means, that the humans didn't do better.

I was a bit disappointed that no aliens were cured with the antidote during the game. That would have made things more interesting from my point of view.

Moderating this game was interesting, though. As moderator, you have the whole big picture, whereas no player in this game (alien or human) had the full story. Even the aliens had to guess to some extent who the other aliens were.

Watching people trying to make sense of the limited information they had was fun. I think in these games, the town/humans only ever has a chance if they pool all the information they know for sure. They also need to second-guess the most likely mafia/alien strategy, and look for any hints from the mafia/alien players.

Now that the conflict at hand is far more clear, a new attempt would be nice to see.

We didn't know enough. There was just too much for us to figure out. If we could all just sit down in a coffee house and talk about the game, it would be much easier, but the lack of communication made each person know very little and made the humans very vulnerable to defeat. The other game where I was the undercover cop was too easy, I knew everything in the game, but in this one everything seemed so rushed. On the first day I couldn't even try to convince them I was innocent, they knew they had no evidence against me, so just saying that wouldn't have helped. I also didn't know I could tell people I was immune until after I was antidoted.
