What do you say to aborting babies that are found to be abnormal, so abnormal that they would be incapable of living a normal life?
By normal life I mean it in the conventional sense: Able to live with financial independence, able to live a social life, able to live and act as most common people do.

I am having a hard time deciding this one. If the baby were born, then it would just be a burden to its parents, or caretakers, and not only that, but there is the negative social stigma as well.
If it were not born, then none of this would happen. It somehow goes against nature. If we were simply animals, then many, if not, all of these people would soon die for whatever reason.

My cousin gave birth to a "abnormal" baby that only had half of his brain. It was her decision and her husbands to keep the child for that is what I believe should be done. Let the parents decide as to what they think is best for they are the ones who must live with their decision. That baby is still alive today and she as well as her husband care for him with more compassion than I've ever seen from anyone in my life. I'm proud to be a part of their extended family and visit them when I can. Although he can't talk, walk or eat without help, I still see humanity in his eyes every time I gaze into them.

If you're pro choice, it's pretty funny because you basically have to be for aborting "abnormal" babies. I'll explain why in a few minutes/hours.

    Are you sure?

There is a baby I know named Josiah. He has a bigger smile than anyone. Though also his stomach and mouth are not connected. He is 1.5 years old and was only supposed to live .5 years.

Most certainly, disabled/abnormal babies should be aborted and it should be mandatory

I have always believed it is the parents choice. Whether normal or abnormal. I always find it funny when people whose anti-abortion argument is based on the foetus being a person and the act of abortion thus being murder saying that it is ok to abort an abnormal baby. Basically implying that disabled people are not human thus it is not murder, i find that hilarious

But yeah it is always the parents choice in my mind.

It's time for me to make that post.

Pro lifers say that it isn't the parents choice, that the baby is alive and that it is murder. Pro lifers say that it isn't the parents choice. When it comes to this, parents have no choice in allowing these children to live in such suffering, and they should be aborted. See why it is contradictory?

I am not in that position to make such a decision but if I ever were I'd like the chance to discuss it over with my wife and see what she wants to do, I then would probably go along with her decision no matter what she did.

depending on the disability, I would. Down's baby, no. Baby with no brain at all, yes.
