Why are christians so stupid?

Hello? Why are christians so f*cking stupid? Don't they realize they are the idiots of the universe? What makes them believe the lies they believe? I have friends who are christians, and I just don't understand their logic! Why in the world could anyone be a christian! That is so foreign to me! How could anyone believe in that crap?

M*W: Good question, John! I guess I realized the error of my ways. I just realized that religion was so stupid. It was such a farce! I regret raising my two elder children as christians. Unfortunately, they are still christians, but I don't try to change their beliefs. I respect them, and they respect me. They may not like my current beliefs, but the still listen to me. I would never try to change their commitments. After all, I led them to christianity, and it is really hard for me to tell them I was so wrong! What kind of mother is that! I can only tell them that I was so wrong! But, they trust me and they understand me. I am so lucky with my family! I would never lie to my kids! Nor my grandkids!

Here's a question.
Why does it bother you so much that you have to bang on and on and on about how "fucking stupid" they are?

I've never heard a mature Christian say "So and so is so fucking stupid, I can't fucking stand it. They're the idiots of the universe"

Interesting. Considering how wild some of your claims are, MW, a christian might suggest that you are being directly influenced by satan himself, to the point of delusion.

 

I know many Christians and while they might be in error of their ways, I cannot say that they are all stupid. They have as much right to believe in a supernatural power as you have the right not to do so. Because they are wrong to you doesn't mean they are stupid in other dealing that life brings them. One can be in error of thinking about certain things but can be perfectly correct in other aspects of life.

 

I don't know, but who cares? It's their life and if it makes them happy it's a good thing.

 

Yeah, Christians are stupid for believing what they do. Why can't they be more like Muslims, Hindus or Jews?

LOL satan, gods, demons, angels, miracles, resurrecting the dead, talking snakes, talking donkeys, do you get the gist.

What like flying horses, and the torah is the old testament, so same as the above, Hindus have elephant headed gods, gods with multiple arms, etc...
The whole lot have stupid beliefs, if they don't want people to call them stupid then they shouldn't have such stupid beliefs.

 

Yet, it's either Christianity that is criticised, or Theism as a whole. In my experience Christians are often the most down-to-earth of all religious persons; it just seems that it's OK to attack the beliefs of the old woman trotting down to the church on a Sunday as she won't put a jihad on you.

 

Were I disciplined, scientific type with enough interests gained to justify study of this phenomenon, I would try to find a correlation something like this:

Do religious-minded people hate to study history?

My hypothesis - a resounding YES.

Wow. Ok. I'm christian. Why am I so stupid? It's hard to explain how it's so easy to be so stupid as to have my beliefs. I guess it's the stupidity of my choice.

Ignorant is not what the OP said. It said stupid. Just another of MW's posts suggesting that any form of theism is a sign of substandard intellect. If you would like to start a thread on christians and their ignorance, by all means. You are more than welcome to.
