And just because I don't like her ideology, I am not allowed to observe that she is completely unqualified to govern the United States ? She has no relevant education or personal experience, and her relevant job experience is too light even to evaluate her basic abilities. She has been living in a very small world, among few people, with no evidence of curiosity and no sign that she realizes how much she doesn't know.

Then she lies from the gitgo, takes petty revenge, and hangs out with the AIP and the Pentecostal Church. You can make a good case that she is negatively qualified - that the job would probably be handled better by an empty chair and a coin flipping device.

I don't like her ideology at all, or Newt Gingrich's, but Palin is not qualified to be President, and Gingrich is. This is not an ideological matter only.

Buff, funding for federal agencies is generally not that specific. So it leave a lot of room for executive orders to be funded with existing agency general funds.

I have zero interest in WATCHING sports but at work there was always a week-end football game pool. I rarely bet on any zero sum game, but for fun, once I did put my dollar in the the pool. I did not even know the names of the teams, so I asked friends who they were sure were the long shots to win, but not way out of the class (had a slight chance). I bet on those teams, thinking I would not need to share the pot, if by some miracle I did win. As it turned out that week end did have a lot of upsets so I won the entire pool, alone. I never bet in it again. -Why press my luck?

Right. But Obama has enough expereince. Sure.

We don't know what happened then. It's still being investigated.

Let's also honestly acknowledge how entertaining it is (assuming these cretins aren't actually selected).

Palin has zip in the way of foriegn policy experience, except living in a state that is relatively closer to Russia. However, in looking at her background, it sounds like her foriegn policy would be consistent with the neocons.

And education, travel, national exposure and familiarity (for building a cabinet, etc), a public record of thought and investigation, yes.

In years of relevant job experience, he's about midrange for successful Presidents of the past - more than either Roosevelt, for example, and in the middle third overall.

If McCain continues W's failures, as seems indicated by his backing and recent decisions, and thereby gets a portrait next to Buchanan's in the Hall of Horrible Presidents way out on the end of the experience range, statistically that would produce a negative correlation of experience with performance. That's going too far, unless it indicates that the factor is a cause of confusion rather than information in voting decisions.

As the US comes more and more to resemble certain countries in Asia and prewar Europe, having powerful officials who talk like bumper stickers or cartoons becomes less entertaining and more alarming. Although Molly Ivins did remind us to keep laughing.

Why do Conservative get so hung up on experience and never question what has that individual learned through there experience.

Its more than just experience. There are teachers of 20 years who are not as good as teachers of 2 years.Conservatives or many of them have a one track mind.Thats the problem with them in power now.Years in office does not equate to being able to take charge and handle situations. What have you learned? What proposals do you currently have now?

"Let's set the record straight, shall we. Palin was for the bridge until it was lampooned so much in the mainstream media that she pulled her support. She received 223m of the 398m for the bridge, and spent it on her own pork barrel issues. She, as Gov. requested 750m in earmarks, more per capita than any other state. She also hired a lobbyist while serving as mayor, and recived as much pork as Boise during that time, while Boise had 20x the population. While on the town council she attempted to ban books, fired the librarian who would not comply after becoming mayor, but the librarian was reinstated by popular demand. She then misused her power as Gov. by having lackeys and her husband put pressure on public official to fire her brother-in-law, who was in messy divorce with her sister, and fired him when he would not do so. In a highly Republican state, she is being investigated with a special prosecutor arranged & paid for by said same Republican legislator. No need to bring in her righteous family or their beliefs."

It is very simply because Obama has light experience in the Senate and no other reason.
It is something to latch onto and keep repeating over and over again, so others keep repeatng it over and over again, s when you close the curtain on the voting booth, you hear it repeatng in your head over and over again.
Believe it or not, it is a very effective strategy in our short attention span, soundbite world.

Are you reading or comprehending what i am saying? What has Obama learned in his light experience, what does this have to do with his knowledge on how to change the economy? It is ridiculous to assume because Obama has 3 years it destroys his ability to change the economy. That is the problem with you ultra-cons,you act educated yet are uneducated when it comes to a logical judgement.

Back off and shove your damned assumptions.
    I am an Obama supporter.
I was simply talking about the strategy that the right is using.

I was pointing out that it is an effective strategy - the left does it as well.

I thought that was pretty plain in my post - talk about reading comprehension problems.

Yet I am the uneducated, illogical one? I'm the moron?

If you have read anyting I have said about politics you would know I support Obama, if you didn't read what I had to say, then you are making unfounded assumptions about me and you would do well to refrain from doing that and avoid making yourself look like a jackass.
