Now,I'm a bit of a hermit , but after spending a few days at Oho's largest county fair (hundreds of thousands of people) I'm in shock. I'm now convinced that a LARGE percentage of ladies from young girls to mid aged women would walk around totally nude if they could get away with it. Acre after acre of perfectly tanned tush of all ages covered only by teeny tiny boxer pajamas riding high and low in all the right spots. What's left for next year? Who knows maybe the genius that started this trend can convince them to forget the shorts and show off those designer thongs the spent so much for. So this is women's liberation? Wow, just wow. I guess we should proud that women aren't afraid of being raped in our society, yet when I see 14 year old girls showing their ass with trashy make up and sexual slogans written across their push up bras, somehow it's just embarassing.
i agree with you, i think its awful and trashy, but you have to blame people like britney spears and all those people who think its ok to dress like that
It's both, the media and the population clearly interact with one another, rather than being in a one way "X affects Y, and never the other way around" situation. As for clothing, who cares? Suppose American women all went the nudist route. The issue that compels the wearing of clothes (other than warmth), it seems to me, is that people (especially men) are lustful and have poor emotional control. Confronted with an attractive naked body, some people (especially men) will do dumb things. The solution to that invented by our Judaic ancestors was to invent stories about the angels being lustful, and using the story as pretext for forcing women to cover up. That as wrong-headed. The correct answer, it seems to me, is to punish the criminals who behave inappropriately, not to impose rules on the potential victims. You might make suggestions to the victims, that they can follow (or not) as they so desire, but it's silly to have set the rules in stone in the way our culture has.

Interesting point. But lets be clear, a nudist is one thing entirely. Many women/girls today are doing everything possible to to exploit their sexuality. You can't even call that "nude" even if they had their clothes off. And the clothing they do wear accents body in a sexual way.
I'm a bit of a hermit too, and when I see those things, I am also in shock. But, I cannot understand complaining about it. If there is anything to be grateful for in this time, it's the re-emergence of aspects of the sexual revolution. The true golden age will have to wait for the cure for AIDS. I have recently found myself speechless in the company of just such a creature.
I could care less how people dress. It doesn't make you a bad person. Doing bad deeds makes you a bad person.
yes so some girls like to show off wat they have. this isnt exactly the crime of the century.. i mean, if you're going to have a problem with thongs showing, why not also include in that category guys with half their ass (or more) hanging out of they're jeans? lets not exlude anyone here.
