Hitler had his agenda of taking land from Poland and neutralizing France.

The same people who made money off of world war II are making money off of the war on terrorism. They will make more money if Iran is invaded.

yes, Hitler had an agenda that was not simply scared and reactive. He had an aggressive approach.

Sure, in that sense I do agree with you. But Iran is not invading other countries.

I don't understand your question. If, as you said, Jews ran the banking industry and they were more or less attacking Germany, how does this fit with the fact that the banking industry supported Hitler's militarization of the country. The Jews did not put a squeeze on Hitler as you claimed, then. In fact, if you are right about the banking industry being Jewish, the Jewish bankers supported Germany's military build up. Hitler was helped by foreign banks.

Hitler made scapegoats to blame all Germany's problem's on. It did work and he was certainly not the only anti Semite in Germany(or Europe) by a long stretch...He wasn't standing up to anybody, he wanted revenge pure and simple. He was just an idiot in a rush, is all.

Millions of captured Germans were treated horribly because millions of Russian prisoners were treated worse, first. Let's not even talk about how Jew/gypsy/slavs were treated...and russians had full knowledge of this after overrunning some camps in 44'. Now, I know it was mostly SS units creating unnecessary enemies for the Third Reich and causing so many partisans to join up against them, and Wehrmacht Generals and Field Marshalls would resign over this bullshit(the real soldiers like Rundstat/Gudarian/Rommel), however Germans started it.

Like when Canadians went up against 12th SS(Hitler Jutland division) in Normandy. Hitler youth didn't take prisoners, so after just a few days of that bullshit, neither did the Canadians. He who fights with monsters for too long, becomes a monster.

Hitler had a real opportunity to make serious friends with Ukranians and he pissed that away because of their lack of "Pure aryan" blood. Hitler had no chance, he had the strategic ability of a corporal. Germany had a chance, closer than most people think. But it requires Hitlers assassination right after Norway was invaded.

Hitler's agenda certainly included Poland and France. Also it included Russia, thus sealing the fate of the German people before the war even started.

In fact, there is a truth about war that goes wider than this. Many things that were unthinkable in 1939 became acceptable and commonplace as the war progressed. The value attached to human life diminished year by year -- concluding with the slaughter of defenceless Germans and Ukrainians after the establishment of "Peace". There are few motives more powerful than vengeance. (Google "Scharnhorst-School"; it's interesting!)

Absolutely right! I have always thought that this was Hitler's most crucial error. In fact, there is a good deal of evidence that there were plenty of Russians whose hatred of Jewish Bolshevism was such that they would have welcomed "Liberation", if the Germans had been able to play it that way.

However, if Hitler had been able to subdue and carve up the Soviet Union, one cannot help feeling that the Germans would have been left sitting on a cauldron of simmering Russian resentment that would ultimately have boiled over into fresh hostilities.

BTW, I don't think anyone has mentioned the bravery that Hitler displayed in WWI. During WWII, Allied propaganda said that Hitler had faked history to award himself his two Iron Crosses, but I think that no one any longer doubts that his patriotic fervour manifested itself in extraordinary courage. He was very lucky to survive.

I did not claim they put a squeeze on Hitler. They put the squeeze on Germany. After that they helped Hitler.

Keep in mind the Jewish bankers in London were not the Jews running the local pawn shop in Germany that ended up in the concentration camp. There are two classes of Jew. There is the average hard worker who values family and education. Then there are the fat cat billionaire investment bankers who decide which currency goes belly up and which politician gets hired and fired. The fat cats make money off of war. WWII was like bowling to them. After WWI they had to set up the pins again for another play.

But what did the bankers get out of financing WWII?

Where do you suppose America, the Soviet Union, Britain, and France got the money to fight Germany from? What about the interest on all those loans? Its all about the Benjamins. That, and they got a nice little country for Jews called Israel which serves as a hub for the human slave trade as well as the drug trade, ie opium/heroin from Afghanistan to the US.

If it did include Russia then you are right, he must have been a moron. I don't think Russia has ever been conquered for any length of time by anyone. My understanding of the Eastern front was that Hitler was trying to take down key war making areas of the Soviet Union to avoid the Soviets attacking him, and to get some of their natural resources for his war effort. I've heard if America had not helped the Russians Hitler might have been successful there.

As you are probably aware he was a "runner"(message carrier between trenches). Most did not live past a few weeks before they collided with a sniper bullet. Yes it does require courage to do that job at all and was all volunteer, I believe...

It's in Mein Kampf right along with all his other hatreds(or if you do subscribe to some conspiracy theory - whoever wrote "Mein Kampf"). He had a documented hard on for attacking Russia in 26'. He did have the correct objective of just sacking the Baku/Caucasus oil fields, but very quickly got deterred into pissing contests over useless political cities(Leningrad/Stalingrad/Moscow - yes Moscow is useless if the germans had taken it, it wouldn't have mattered, unless they did manage to secure oil rich south.)

One thing he did NOT want, was to fight the Brits. He really counted on a separate peace with them after blasting Poland and France. Many of the German Generals also miscalculated the tenacity Britain can sometimes come up with(and totally disregarding the amazing contributions the rest of the commonwealth had done even in WWI). They forgot to read about the Napoleonic wars I guess. We could forgive this mentality after the performance of Chamberlain.

Again, absolutely right! Churchill was able to win the battle between the "War Party" and the "Peace Party" in Britain through his siezure of the propaganda apparatus (Ministry of Information). The British people were not allowed to know far Hitler was prepared to go to make peace. They were certainly not allowed to know the ruinous economic consequences of prolonged warfare. Churchill was able to stigmatise (and even threaten) those who opposed him.

This, of course, raises the whole issue of how far Hitler was the victim of an inadequate intelligence service -- which, in this case, assumed "rational" self-interested behaviour by the British Government.

Hitler was either absolutely evil or completely duped by "the dark side"

In either case, the result is not good.

or Hitler lost a war...in either way...we are the survivors of the war and its winners so we got a right to say anything about Hitler and demonize him all we want.

Just like Saddam H. was demonized.

This is very interesting. Would you be kind enough to cite a reference that supports this assertion.

If I have ever read a book that perfectly covers exactly this aspect of the war, I have forgotten the title -- so suggestions from others welcome. From the books currently on my shelves, Double Standards by Lynn Picknett et al is a great read, and examines the conflicts within the British power structure in the context of Rudolf Hess's peace mission.

This book is also worth reading for the chapter "Death on Eagle's Rock" which is a superb piece of historical detective work.
