Why you should devote your life to space

Why should I and you devote our life to space?

Because unlike the fragment of time of Earth life...moment in space is worth many times that of moments spent on Earth. Space is so infinite and boundless and holds so many opportunities for us to prove ourselves as individuals and society and as a civilization. Let us devote our life to space now, starting today...to strive every day to bring space closer to us, to make stars reality, to develop propulsion methods to travel far into space and inhabit worlds and make planets known to us and well understood. Because once we devote ourselves to space we devote ourselves to the universe and prove our existence. Why burn in the moment of time in light of Earth? Devote yourself to exploring space...devote yourself to research and advances in space engineering and space exploration.

im majoring in astronomy/astrophysics at Florida Institute of Technology, and thinking of getting a duel in aerospace engineering

you know my first pick was astrobiology because biology interest me...but after I studied and went to astronomy lectures I realized that people in a astronomy/astrophysics/astrobiology fields never get to experience what space is about...they remain near computers studying stars...they remain on the ground.

Are you sure pursuing astronomy is the best course? Pursue aerospace engineering, that is what I am doing now.

 

ya, thats why i started thinking about aerospace engineering... it seems to be better equip for what i want.
I still want to pursue astronomy because, with it i only have to take an extra 5 courses to complete the aerospace engineering major... this is also what my teachers said would be better when i talked to them about what i want my future to be
So im sure that im going to get that as a major too, i cant see why i wouldnt

you only need 5 courses to get an aerospace degree from an astronomy degree? what nonsense is this? or am I not understanding something...

 

thats what they tell me... i half dont believe it, but if its true then im going to go for it

 

dude...its erratic to think only 5 courses will get you from astronomy to aerospace...degree...

there are at least 15 specialized courses in aerospace that have to be taken...

 

this is only for a bachlors degree... only 4 years in college
After the 4 years is when im going to focus on one or the other more when i go to graduate school, when i go for a masters or Ph.D

 

and how long you got left till bachelors? (I got 2 years or 1.5 years left)

 

i have 3 years left... im trying to find what courses are needed specially for aerospace at my school

 

come on...switch to aerospace....dont stay with astronomy.

If you will switch to aerospace, I might do a joint aerospace competition with you

hahaha, i think im going to try and do both for now... the only reason im going to try and do both and not pick one and stay with it is because my girlfriend wants to do both, and i cant let her beat me out... that just wont do, hahaha
