Methane gas is used in lighters, so, yes it has a unmistakable smell. I don't recommend you to smell it too much though, since it can kill you (or give you a rush that feels metallic somehow - I don't recommend it though).
But, but, but, pig farts are mostly methane, and boy, do they smell. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!uke: Just go by a hog farm...Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!

actually is there any other gass except sulferdioxide that we can smell? well we can sort of smell o3 and co2. O3 is the smell of a thunderstorm and CO2 smells sort of dusty (its the smell you get when you smell dry ice) but its really only sulfur that is an ovious gas smell
I can vouch for the truth of that. Hydrogen sulphide plays havoc with my silverware. One of my servans is on constant duty cleaning it.
You mean Myles ? I'm sure he's joking although I have to admit that I don't get it.. unless he means to say that he uses his silverware to eat shit.. lol Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
