Yeah! That would teach that milksop n' mollycoddle crowd real good wouldn't! Those queenies are just women's brains in men's bodies. I came across an article on WorldNetDaily a week or two ago that was about this very study. It had a blurb about gay men having women's brains. It was really humorous and stupid at the same time. A conservative book was written about many of the founding members of the Nazi party and their overt homosexual proclivities, especially those of SA leader Ernst Rohm. They apparently envisioned a man's world where women were for the home, but men were for the men, or something like that. It portrays these homosexual stalwarts of the Nazi party as thugs, which some of them undoubtedly were. And hey, they're Nazis!!! Everyone's favourite bad guys! What better way to put homosexuality in a bad light than put them in the same closet? And these same conservatives scrutinize and pound every dead horse of a fact, whether proven or unproven, great or trivial, that casts a hideous shadow on homosexuality and those identified as such. Much effort is spent to convey the "undeniable truth" that homosexuality is a lifestyle, a choice, an abberration, and not something that might be natural and/or biological. Then, along comes a study that shows brain differences between so-called gay males and their heterosexual brethren. Very biological and possibly immutable brain differences. How does the conservative report on it after spending so much time blathering about how it's a filthy and selfish choice? Well, duh, the girly men have girly brains! They're some hybrid abomination. An accident. Certainly not like us gog-fearing straight men! No matter what the spin, it MUST say something negative about homosexuals, even if it means completely revising the anti-homo propaganda we've built up. Anything to put them away from us, into that corner. The bad corner. And the title of the article really was just like that: gay brain = woman's brain. So in the "conservative" world, faggos are either thuggish Nazi brutes, or queerly effeminate man-woman bastards, depending on the direction the wind blows. Either way, they get their victory, apparently.
Oh! Reiku! You charmer! You progressive charmer! Feel free to go into the finer points of disagreement. I don't, for the record, endorse much when it comes to homosexuality and its psychological or biological causes. I see conflicting studies, if that's what you want to call them, all the time. It seems that for every couple of studies and every couple of scientists doing the studies, there's an equal and opposite number producing conflicting results. I chalk it up to politics in many cases. What I have found, though, like I tried to show in my earlier post, is that no matter what a study finds, there's always something to be exploited for the negative viewpoint. Exploit they will. I don't believe there's any universal method for identifying what homosexuality is, or what causes it. Or bisexuality for that matter. Every group has their own little take on it, and it seems that the conservative "Christian" take is whichever makes homosexuality appear the most depraved and abnormal. Bull shit. This is simply homophobes trying to justify their belief that you can't 'catch' homosexuality. That you're either predisposed to it, as though sexual preference were an eye color or sickle-cell anemia or you're 'safe,' 'normal'; hetero. I believe sexuality is far more psychological than it is genetic. I'd even be willing to bet that particular mannerisms are things they're looking for in this study, aren't they?
