Hmm if you were working on it, why should your co-worker do it? You're going about this the wrong way. If a city is not already in your database, its an opportunity. Call up hotels in the city [look up first, get good locations], ask to speak with the manager and tell him you'll recommend their hotel to all your clients in that city [can you give him a reasonable estimate of how many that would be?] or say you are expanding your business to explore their city as a possible candidate. Make it sound like you're doing them a favour by selecting them. Ask them if they will give you special rates for recommending their hotel, etc. That way you have: 1. a room in that city 2. a hotel (or two or three) in a city not in your database, so you can maybe add it to your database 3. special rates for your clients. Don't always wait for other people to tell you how to do your job. Don't quit, its a good job; instead see if you can train part time or go to school to move up in your present job.
If you're unhappy in your job, by all means find a different one. The one word of advice I can offer is to have the other job lined up before you quit this one. It's far better to have a job you don't like than to have to worry about how you're going to eat with no money. Just keep in mind, most jobs are similar to that when you're still new. It's happened to me at every job I've ever started, but usually it gets better. If it doesn't, then do whatever makes you happy.
It looks like Darky is still doing everything he can to avoid taking that next big step and getting a university education. He doesn't understand that each day is going to feel a tiny bit more pointless than the last as long as he keeps holding himself back. He can change jobs but it won't change his life. Only growing up will do that. I'll bet his parents would pay for his education and not even require him to work while he's in school. I'm curious how many other people here would turn down a sweet deal like that.

accidentally.,was meeting this girl and i was with a friend and so was she.we were going to a gig,i thought they were closer behind than they actually were and so got into the elevator.we got separated and because it was a friday night and busy it took me 10 minutes to get back down to the bottom floor and they were gone (i didnt have her phone number and she didnt know what floor the gig was on). ran into her after that and she seemed to think it was her fault,not mine so i didnt argue.i was all ready to apologize for being a dick.
I certainly did. When I dated this one woman she was acting like a real pompmous ass with the people at the party I was invited to. She made herself really look like someone who only wanted the spotlight on them no matter who she might hurt or who got in her way. I just found my way out the back door after awhile and I was told someone took her home afterwards, which I knew they would. I really didn't care much about being there with her and told her I wanted to leave a few times but she insisted on staying.
Yes. And have been ditched also. I think most people have done this at one time or another, it's all about the circumstances involved, it's not a black and white discussion. If one was to do this for no reason, then yes, that is bad. But, for example, if it's your first date and the other person is hitting on everyone else at a party, then no, it's not bad to ditch them.

Nobody has ever ditched me on a date. I have never ditched anybody on a date. Even when the date was horrible and I had a few of those. I am just too nice to do that. I did however try and cut it short. I remember when my brother in law was about 18-19, he was over at some girls house. He called us over because he didn't have his car. We got to the house and called him on his cell. The next thing we know he is crawling out the bathroom window and running to the car. I was thinking WTF is he doing. He gets in the car and says come on lets get going. Apparently he went over to this girls house and she turned out to be really nuts, so he said he had to go to the bathroom and jumped out the window. I felt like we were driving the Getaway car. LOL

Friend Fired, I'm Alone Today I was at work, there's this girl there who I'd been making friends with kinda. She was nice to me I think, I even drove her home a few times when her car was broke. I thought of it as an investment when mine might break and she could give me one. Around 4PM I found out that she'd been fired, I wasn't really understanding the e-mail at first because it was 1 sentence long and said "Ileana has been let go" or something like this :L I had to ask this girl who worked with her where she was, nobody told me :| If they only knew how much I'd been e-mailing her lol. Actually I sent her a few e-mails before she was fired and even left a voicemail, turns out she won't ever recieve them :W It kinda sucks, I'm all alone now and everyone there is mean or just to organized, ugh. You know I'm obsessive about things sometimes, I can be organized, but geesh they hardly gave her much of a chance. I mean she'd made some errors ok but still why fire her she'd learn better if they kept her on and kept correcting her for another month. Now they've gotta hire a new person and train them for 90 days, it makes no logical sense to me. Sadly I can't really see Ileana again, even though I drove her home twice she has a bf and when I tried telling her how close we lived to one another she just kinda ignored me. She did seem to like e-mailing though but in the end I guess she didn't like me as much as I her. Yet another thing in my luck with women. I don't know, I felt like leaving but I'll stay until they fire me I guess. I'm gonna miss her though, was the only girl I'd actually had dialog with in months haha.
