I don't count imbibing illegal drugs during some early part of their lives as a point against a presidential candidate, as most of them have imbided such drugs (Clinton (pot), Bush jr (Cocain), McCain was alcoholic... I guess he does not count).

Obama was once pro decriminalization of pot, but he flip-flopped on that issue.

Well technically anyone can grow dreadlocks its just a matter of proper maintenance (or lack off in some cases). Also many types of people cut their hair short. Even when your trying not to you seem to come off as a racist.

I have seen dreadlocks on white, blacks, & thai people i always find it stupid looking, & the idiot with it, however on obama as prez i think it would look cool, now if he grew the dreads before the election i am sure he would win, i certainly would vote for him, After all i have made many illegal donations to his campaign, shhhh!!!.

It would be a stupid move to have anyone but Hillary as VP. If he wants to get the people who wanted Hillary as President on his side, he should select her for VP. She would be an incredible asset to him in winning the Presidential seat.

 

Obama can't win without Hillary. She's effectively turned the Reagan Democratic base against him. If he chooses to snub her for the VP spot, that gargantuan Reagan Democratic base would revolt against him in alarming numbers. That means, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Florida would fall to the Republicans. There's no way he can win the election if he doesn't secure those states.

 

And a drag in an actual presidency. She seems to care more about herself than the nation.

 

I think it would probably destroy his campaign, and definitely undermine his Presidency if he did survive the mess. She might be the worst choice, of the actually possible ones.

She has no good reason to take the job, and several bad ones. Her role in the Senate would be far more important to any agenda of governing the country she may still possess. So what would be her motive ?

She's run a disorganized, poorly thought out campaign, and has been closely identified with most of the Washington stuff Obama is supposedly running against.

She is hated, irrationally but seriously, by almost a fifth of the voting public. Add that to the misogynist vote and the bigot vote and the fundie vote (even subtracting the considerable overlap) and you have an almost unsurmountable deficit for Obama.

And she's signed on to approaches and tactics that are the source of a good many of the problems Obama will face if elected, as well as during the campaign.

He needs a white man, older, with some distance from the Beltway, with a reputation for integrity and quiet competence, and hopefully military experience. He needs someone who can get angry for him, without setting off alarms in men or white people.

He cannot win without Hillary, if he selects someone else, you can be assured that the Democrats will lose the elections.

 

I don't think he can win with her either, so its sort of a lose-lose.
