I passed up a Japanese restaurant the other day on the highway, and the logo on the sign was very similar to the Yin and Yang, but it had three shapes within it instead of two. Does anyone know if there is some significance to this shape, or is it likely just someting the owner made up? I didn't have time to stop and ask. Does it have a name? Thanks.
without seeing it i cant know.but it might just be a family crest.they/re circular in japan. http://pingmag.jp/images/article/cho-chin19.jpg they have them on a fair amount of the buildings here to hold the roof tiles in place.im sure there is a word for it but i dont know it
I ask because it is very similar to something I had started a while back. Even the same colors... (this is the base design of my next tattoo, it still has a long way to go) Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! and I was wondering if there was some significance to this design that already exists which I am unaware of.
Sounds like a Tri-Yin-Yang - its based on Korea’s Sam-Taegeuk - it represents Heaven, Man and Earth Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I think that might be another interpretation actually so we're both right Hi5 yourself for me and I'll do the same Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
