that dental robot was kind of creepy.

I expect that within 60 years people will fall in love with them and legally be able to marry a robot. People's emotion can be elicited by robots just by reacting to the cues. That's why I thought the dental robot was creepy. I felt "her" mouth was "stuck". My mouth started to feel sore.

In 100 years they'll post on Sciforums

I'm not so sure about the "health" implications.
What it boils down to is something doing all the work around the house. People throughout the ages originally used humans to do the labor (slaves, servants, etc) so it's not exactly new.
Personally I would love it. I would give me the opportunity to concentrate on other things.

At the same time, it is certain to impact society within the later generations.

As a point of reference - I have no clue how to wash clothes by hand----I'm sure my grandmother knows. My only concept is tossing them in a washing machine/dryer, and they are magically cleaned. I've seen people using washboards or clothes lines in movies, so I have a vague idea of those being the tools involved.......I still have no clue how to use a washboard (how many cycles do I need to use? Where do I pour the detergent?).
Will I ever need to know how to manually wash clothes? My guess is that I will still be using washing machines when I die, and will never need to learn it. I assume the technology will probably be around forever, thus making the information obsolete.

A robot capable of washing/putting away dishes, cleaning the house, and cooking meals may have the same impact. It will save all the labor, but could possibly eliminate certain areas of human knowledge.

It's funny but I know a lot of people that can not turn off their main water and change a facet tap, or change a are tire, or even cook a real meal - like bake a loaf bread!

The good thing is that Internet at least supplies much of what would probably be permanently lost.

    what exactly is a robot?
I have machines that cook and wash clothes. When does it go from appliance to robot?

I've got one of these robots running amok in my house. I got it when Lost In Space was on TV and they sold these for about $4.00 US back then.

Now you too can own a fully functional, life-sized replica of the original Lost in Space Robot B9 from the famous 1960’s sci-fi TV show. Yeah, the robot that uttered the famous saying “Danger, Will Robinson” can now be yours for the low, low price of $24,500.

Each robot is crafted from steel, acrylic, aluminum rubber and other materials and doesn’t skimp on construction in any way. B9 has a number of animated movements and a digital audio system loaded with over 500 tracks from the original actor who voiced the original robot on TV. A remote control lets you activate, deactivate and control the robot.

B9Creations painstakingly hand-builds each replica, which is designed to be as faithful as possible to the original robot (actually the one from Season Three according to their website) so they can only crank out around 30 to 50 robots per year.

I want one like the ones from I, Robot, you know, the ad-crammed movie with Will Smith. Didn't much care for the movie, but the robots in them, with what looked like artificial muscle, subtle facial expressions, intelligence, great agility and robustness compared to your typical sci-fi robot, it was just a realyl slick, cool, awesome design. And actually, if I had such a robot of human or near-human intelligence, I would try to treat it as human, you know, have it think for itself and participate in society symbiotically as best it can. Legality would probably have it that it would have to "belong" to me, like a slave, but I'd still try to let it be itself and learn to live amongst us.

Meh, who am I kidding, it's making me bacon and eggs EVERY morning

    God that movie sucked.

Fortunately, they actually made full blown androids in the books (the Noir-ish novels featuring detective Spooner, not the original book......which the movie butchered). Spooner was partnered with "Daneel Olivaw" who looked totally human.

Artificial vagina with vibrating eggAn artificial vagina for the purposes of sexual stimulation is essentially an aid to masturbation: it is designed to simulate the sensation of sexual intercourse on the erect penis. It will often have moving parts such as vibrators that increase stimulation rather than accurately simulating a woman's vagina.

Usually the artificial vagina has a realistic or close to realistic appearance with a sleeve, where the penis can be inserted. The sleeve, or as it is also called "vaginal tunnel", measures in average from 4 to 8 inches and can have an open end for inserting vibrating bullet, if the user wishes.

Realistic. This type of artificial vagina is molded from female genitals. For the advertising purposes many manufacturers design the vagina like the exact replica of some famous pornographic actress's vagina. Realistic vaginas are made to simulate the natural physiology: pubic bones, hairs, labia, all natural creases and dimples, etc.

Several realistic vaginas are manufactured with a narrower anal orifice for those users who also like to simulate anal sex. Though the natural vagina does not include any nubs and ribs inside the tunnel, manufacturers often add them into artificial vaginas for enhancing pleasure.

In Japan, onacups are popular "realistic" artificial vaginae that simulate various sex acts and come with lubricant already inside.

ok...well first of all I tried them and vibrating ones don't work well, stroking ones work the best. Second of all...this isn't a robot...and something artificial as this in a robot needs to be well coordinated, since genitalia is a very gentle organ of a body.
