That doesn't prove it could... it proves they think it could.

Just as the Emperor thought the DS2 was invincible...

Just as Vader thought the DS1 was invincible...

Just as Trek people have thought many, many things incorrectly before.

A single 80 isotonne nanite torpedo could destroy an entire star system - I'm not 100% sure of the details (I've missed a fair chunk of Voyager) but I think it was nano-disassemblers...

Hyperspace is where the hyperdrive takes you... right? Or are HyperSpace and HyperDrive two different things?

I just thought of something - IF INDEED hyperspace requires temporal shielding...

A single modified Chroniton Torpedo will render Hyperspace useless... it will prevent the Temporal shielding from forming and thus, once the ship jumps to hyperspace, it will "jump" out of this timestream... thus removing it from battle, most likely permanently...

5 million Isoton Mine could destroy planets and disrupt a solar system likely destroy...

Consider the small area our solar system covers 50 AU's. from the sun to Pluto
    A light years is 63,241 AU's
The mine was designed to effect an area of 5 lightyears. specificly to distrubute nanites over an area of 5 lightyears.
Logicly Janeway brought up the concern that this was a weapon of mass destruction.

To say that a 5 million iston mine could affect a solar system...is an understatement...It could destroy a solar system, easily.

actualy one of the barbettes is about 1000 times stronger and on of the quads is about 1.2-1.4 times stronger acording to my predictions. if the smallest bolt blasts 6-8m radial asteeroids then a 1000 times stronger bolt would blast 60-80m radial asteroids. compare these numbers (64 HTLs and hundreds of LTLs) with the drilling figures and you get that the total TL firepower is 2.X times less then the ventral array on a GCS (type X phaser).

i was writing about the drive not the comunications. i only asked if coms shoud be jammed by interdictors as well, as they should be if they are hyperspace related.

    1. canon source never speicifies what it is, only that it is hazardous for ships and personall, and it enhybits some psi properties. some novels claim it was made by the Q, to prevent some other god-like being from entering the galaxy.

    2. go on weapons section, and look-up energy requirements for blowing things up

i think the galactic barrier and the great barrier are not the same. on isolates the galaxy from the outside and the second isolates the core from the rim and spirals.

afcourse it makes no sence. the random stormtrooper is a grunt, a lieutenant is a comisioned officer. even if he was jnior grade lieutenant or ensign, he'd still be lightyears ahead in education and organization then a grunt.
