People are afraid of death. But at the same time they seem to not care about it even when they see it nearest to themselves (like the death of a relative). Also the death of one person you know makes you more worried/scared than the tragic death of a thousand people far away.
I always wonder what aspect of death makes us people most afraid of it?
Also, if death is the separation of the soul from the corpse, what will happen to the soul afterwards?
    opinions...

I'm not scared of being dead.
I'm scared shitless of dying though. ( as above, I don't want to die in some horrible way)
I want to die by being sconned by a falling coconut, but not for a while yet.

That is why many people committ suicide. It is quick and painless.

Death doesn't make any effort at all to be presentable.
The Scythe. The Big Horse. The Cloak.

Also, Death is often painful and unexpected.

Death could at least make the effort to be reasonable.

I actually am not afraid of death itself. I'm more afraid of the afterdeath. As a religiously devout person, I confess that I have many sins and am afraid to die before I have time to make up for them.

I am not afraid of death at all, I simply do not know what to expect afterwards.

I also, for some strange reason, want to make sure that when I die, I am breathing IN or have my lungs full (or, ya know, with air) cuz for some reason I feel it'd suck to die with no air in your lungs, even if you have to exhale, you might feel like you are suffocating

I am affraid of death because I play the lottery every week. So what if I win after my death? That wouldn't be fair, and since I always play the same numbers, they should come up sooner or later...

I've heard people's death may differ according to their manner of living. For example, a womanizer will have thougts of women and sex when he dies, and alcohol will be the last thing an alcoholic thinks of before death. I do not believe this always applies, but I'm almost sure it is quite frequent.
For me the worst kind of death would be a sudden death and in a derogatory manner while the best one will be dying for a right cause.

I want to die like my grandpa, peacefully in his sleep, not screaming in horror like his passengers in his car...

BTW I've already died for over 3 minutes once! They had to revive me and they almost didn't!

I am afraid not of death or the process...I am afraid of not existing anymore, not knowing the "I"
