Maybe not cannibalism here in the West, but then, America is only 5% or so of the world's population. An 8 degree temperature rise will sure as hell mean mass starvation in most of the third world as everything floods or turns to desert.

But like the fore people in guinea we would not be able to survive by cannibalism for long till prion/cjd/kuru type disease's started arising:scratchin:..the only way round it would be not to eat cannibals which means that a percentage of the pop' would be denied 'human flesh' and would effectively be bred for food...I can't see society coming round to that as huamns are generaly survivalists unless you could mentaly impair the 'food pop'' to the point of not caring or being unable to comprehend their predicament....plus if you breed humans for food you've still got to feed them.....you might just as well eat their food.

 

No matter what we speculate between now and the year 150k.. if things remain going as they are going, near the year 145,730 the last human can be seen cracking the marrow out of the bones of the second last human... That's inescapable... We must vacate this planet.. and I see how to build the required engines to get us to other solar systems... Or we can wait till it's too late to build anything... I'm 60.. I doubt I can maintain all this data many more years...

You can't... It runs a parallel to the now extinct primitive culture, in Africa, that ate gator meat exclusively... I met two in my life that I was almost sure about them being people eaters... I could sense it in them, and I bolted... They had a "chunky" fattish, strangely aggressive air about them, like edi-amin in combo with a sexual predator's attitudes... You just have to experience it to understand its "front-door"... Linger too long, and you are dinner... All they need do is approach you from behind, and club you on the head hard with a base ball bat, and the next thing you know you are steaks, stews, roasts, burgers, and bacon...

So if cannibalism has/and is inherrent in man (cannibalism has always been around from ceremonial to survival,primative to modern) then Global Warming can't cause what has always been here (times more widespread than others).....
If diseases caused by cannibals eating cannibals kill them and consider the amount of food you need to feed your 'human cattle' it is not a sustainable/viable or probable source of food for survival for long...
you will probably get a rise in remote places of EAT or DIE situations.....
As to 'If humanity ran out of food'.........:bugeye: we would all die anyway, some would survive longer than others (if there was no food that would indicate all life but man had been extinguished), even if there was enough 'human meat food to start again' the prion/kuru/cjd's will kill you off so you would be doomed anyway.....:shrug:so nothing to worry about

how did your maths get to the year 150,000 as thats about 140,000 years longer than mine.so you must have a process to get to these facts....RIGHT.?
