I'm pretty good at determining behavior just by observing.Hilary is lacking in confidence,she is talking over Russert trying to bully her statements in out of being desperate to knock Obama off.She is one tough bitch,however Obama has got her in her feelings,not a good look for Hil.
They're both tough people, now being stretched on the Israel rack. Our Presidential candidates are forced by this media to as emphatically swear allegience to Israel as to the USA. Obama's obviously got a better grip on his emotions- and I don't mean that in any sexist way.
Here on break, back to the Farrakhan/Wright/antisemitism/zionism thing- the greatest landmine of all, and Barack avoided adeptly. Too much kowtowing to the security of Israel over the interests of the USA for my liking, but it's necessary. I think that the day is coming, when the US public will be ready to understand criticism of zionism, without a knee-jerk reaction as presently programmed. Obama would be stupid to jump the gun now, though- even if his sentiments were not pro-Israel (which I believe they are). On policy toward Israel (these candidates can't be candid about criticism for Israel) my hunch is that Obama would be much tougher on Israeli human rights violations than Hillary or McCain would be as President.

I could never take loaded questions like that without attacking the question and questioners. The "Al-Qaeda" label is deceptively misapplied in Iraq, by the US media, by the present White House, and by 2-bit me-too Iraqi militias. Hillary obviously had other difficulties than mine, having supported an unpopular war at the outset. The plain truth is perilous to broach regarding Iraq, as with the Israel litmus-tests. There are so many things in our national dialogue that the public has been fed such a load of shit about, that serious people need considerable time and opportunity to gently educate. I don't believe that the public can't handle the truth in the long term. But in the short term, I know that the US public can't handle the unvarnished truth, without falling into programmed, insincere herd outrage at heresy. Sometimes when in ignorant company, smarter people must bite their tongues so as not to offend.
You are right that it is loaded, but otherwise I think it is a fair question for someone who wants to justify withdrawal. I wish Obama had said something like it is our occupation that is making more terrorists, and our occupation can't succeed. I think he did mention that our slow withdrawal will encourage the Iraqi's to stabilize themselves, which decreases the likelihood of Al Qaeda "taking over the country" (as McCain would say) there, which I would think is already a terribly low chance even if they do destabilize. But other than that, I think he failed to address the concerns of "failure" and "defeat" to the many people who see it as worse than 100 years in Iraq. McCain has already taken some advantage of his answer. Though Obama did not say he would re-invade, it seems like he would, based on what I know of his support of going into Afghanistan and focusing there now. Since supposedly occupation of terrorist harboring countries is an appropriate response :/ What I would personally say to the people who think leaving Iraq is admitting defeat... While it is a defeat, we're like someone who had been gambling with mortgage money at a casino, lost it, and now we are trying to win all our money back. At some point Obama has got to make a stand on the way "defeat" is framed to the public. As it is, it implies we have a chance of winning and making things better, but we're quitting.

Yesterday, John McCain rebuked talk radio host Bill Cunningham for using Obama's middle name. Cunningham said he felt like he was thrown underneath the "Straight Talk Express" Bus. Is this the direction John McCain is bringing the Republican party? This heavy handedness towards party members to please Democrats is totally unacceptable.
