The good news: no more excuses from men.

The bad news: not every woman has it.

"The latest research, published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine, was carried out the Dr Emmanuele Jannini at the University of L'Aquila, and involved just 20 women.

Ultrasound was used to measure the size and shape of the tissue beyond the "front" wall of the vagina, often suggested as the location of the G spot.

In the nine women who reported being able to achieve vaginal orgasm, the tissues between the vagina and the urethra - which carries urine out of the body - were on average thicker than in the 11 women who could not reach orgasm this way.
Dr Jannini said: "For the first time, it is possible to determine by a simple, rapid and inexpensive method if a woman has got a G spot or not."

However, Dr Tim Spector, from St Thomas' Hospital in London, told New Scientist that the thicker tissue might actually be part of the clitoris - another extremely sensitive area.

Another suggestion was that, rather than being the cause of more orgasms, having these frequently might actually lead to better-developed musculature in this area.

Dr Petra Boynton, a sexual psychologist at University College London, said that an entire industry had grown up around the idea of a G spot, and it was unhelpful to label women unable to find theirs as "dysfunctional".

So not all women have one? Is it possible that some women have a large g spot and others have a small one? Or is it usually the same size?

as for the male g spot, is there a difference in the size of the g spot? If a man has his prostate removed is the g spot gone?

Ugh. I started reading about the male G-spot, AKA the prostate. I'm drunk right now, but not drunk enough to read about the male prostate mastrubation techniques.

LOL, yeah I read that too. I wonder how many straight men would consider it too gay to have a g spot touched, even by a woman.

Eh, I try to be open minded... but what did you just say? Sport event at watching a party at a stranger's home... WTF?

As for males being sensitive about sexuality... good. The more sensitive, the more pleasure. It's very, very logical. Whores lose their sense of pleasure and have to fake it.:bawl:

Anecdotally, I've been told that the majority of women only have a g-spot on the clitoris, and therefore require oral sex to have an orgasm. Although it's not an overwhelming majority and plenty of women do have one internally if that's a deal-breaker for ya.

As for prostate stimulation, that's why men who undergo anal intercourse are willing to do it. But if you've had a prostate exam (and you should), it kind of sours you on any contact with that area.

Why the hell would a man need to search around for some "G-spot" up his ass when he's got a perfectly good penis that much more easily accessed?

Removal of the prostate generally destroys libido, like removal of a woman's ovaries. Lately they've learned to leave the nerve that generates the orgasm reflex if the prostate cancer isn't too badly spread, so then there is the possibility of retaining libido. But obviously if the prostate is removed the g-spot that is actually located on the prostate gland will be removed too. None of us knew about that one until today so we would not have missed it.
Dude this is clearly gay stuff. Did you follow the URL?

No, I didn't. I have, of course, heard that stimulation of the prostate can be pleasurable, but calling it a "male G spot" seems a bit much.

The idea of a G spot in women is there to explain the difficulty some women have in achieving orgasm via intercourse. Part of the whole femine mystique.

There's nothing mysterious or difficult about male orgasm. No need for ultrasound to determine the correct area to stimulate.

Way back when, National Lampoon's letters section was often the funniest part of the magazine.

Sirs: What is all of this fuss about the G spot? Mine is about a foot wide, and a blind man could find it with a snow shovel!

Regards, Gloria Leonard, publisher of High Society magazine

For those not old enough, that was a porn mag, closer to Hustler than Playboy.

You missunderstood, or I know of another spot...

Syzygys' guide to male sexual stimulus:

The point is outside of the body between your arse and balls about halfway. When slighthly massaged during sexual excitement, it helps you to achieve orgasm.

There you go, now you can try without the homophobic feelings. Give us feedback how it went!

Ohh... "sport event watching party". Yeah, some people do that on skiing season.

I kinda associated parties with people getting together and drinking and hustling.

AFAIK the term "G spot" was coined to mean a particular area whose stimulation can cause orgasm. The thesis of the article cited was that an orgasm can be caused by stimulation of the alleged "G spot" on the prostate. Again, this is information we straight guys who don't read that magazine would never have known, don't need to know, and probably don't even want to know. Frankly it sounds more than a little icky to me.
It's not just a mystique. As noted, a number of women have told me that they, and other women they know, have never been stimulated to orgasm by intercourse because on their bodies the tissue whose stimulation causes orgasm is not located in there. On the contrary very few women (although there were one or two) have ever told me that they or their friends could not be stimulated to orgasm by oral (or other) stimulation of the clitoris. The consensus of this admittedly utterly unscientific poll is that the primary female G-spot is on the clitoris. I don't see the female members who are participating in this thread jumping up to disagree with my unabashed friends.
That's how we see it because we're heterosexual. Life is more complicated for gay guys and it's not all about discrimination and ovum donors.

I have to say, when I saw the title of the thread my first impulse is, "This is the title of a porno movie."

My second impulse was, "How many Italian doctors did it take to find it?"

My third was, "American tourist finds stay in Sicilian weight-loss clinic delightful. Film at eleven."
