I don't understand what you mean "whole part". I understand that without the mother, the fetus will not survive naturally. But the unborn child is an individual, there lies in the dispute.

You aren't a citizen until you get a birth certificate. Of course the issue is that one human gradually turns into two, but for legal reasons there needs to be a clear cut line.

Internal organ, parasite, illegal alien but no mention of a human being. No direct answer to my time-traveling aborters?

If you could time travel, all behavior would be ethical because it would all be reversible.

    Science cannot create ethicity.

If you could change history at any time, it sure would.

Unethical, irresponsible and evil behavior will not be solved by science. Abortion is a societal and moral issue (as you stated), but it seems like arguments for abortion or hinged on the medical science industry's ability to prevent, sanitize or justify abortion. The problem resides in disregard for human life or at the very least saying one life is worth more than another's and abortion is just the fruit of that belief. Science will not solve that.

An interesting idea that occurred to me. What legal activities would become illegal if time travel were possible? It creates an interesting list.

What are you thoughts of the morning after pill?
Do you consider that like an abortion?

Emergency contraception (also known as the morning-after pill) is a high dosage of the birth control pill. It is recommended to be used after sexual intercourse, over a period of 72 hours, to achieve the goal of preventing (or ending) pregnancy. If in fact the woman is pregnant when she takes these birth control pills, the high dosage could act to kill her preborn child—a living human being.

This thread is not about time travel, nor is it about realms of fantasy and how they relate to abortion, it is about abortion now. I dont see how diving into the realm of wild science fiction based speculation is even relevant to this thread.

Time travel won't be possible with science, either, but that didn't stop you from suggesting that hypothetical. If science could lead to time travel, then it could solve all sorts of moral problems.

Science could solve the abortion issue if it created better means of birth control, such as birth control for men. In fact, there is a new switchable kind of vasectomy valve that science has created. You can turn it on or off by remote control. Of course, society will still need to figure out how to make such solutions available to the public.

Science could also take the fetus and raise it to term in a separate chamber, thus saving the woman from the responsibility. Society would have to figure out where these unwanted children should go.

That morning after pill is an abortion with a clever name.

Means of contraception have been available for a long time. Would slicker forms make immoral people moral?

there is nothing wrong with abortion the only people i have found to be against it are people who are trying to push their religious beliefs on others
