9/11 was the result of 60 years of US policy and in my opinion, except for the dramatic impact, they got off pretty cheap compared to the victims in mass graves in the countries they sent death squads and school of Americas graduates. I feel sorry for the victims, but it was not surprising that sometime, somewhere, someone would say Enough! Everyone has the right to self determination, not just white people in rich countries.
It kind of all goes back to this issue: "Dutch filmmaker critical of Islam killed" (http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2004-11-02-filmmaker-killed_x.htm) "AMSTERDAM, Netherlands (AP) — A filmmaker who was the great-grandnephew of the painter Vincent van Gogh was shot and stabbed to death on an Amsterdam street Tuesday after receiving death threats over a movie he made criticizing the treatment of women under Islam." They (the Dutch) do seem to be making a habit of pissing them off.
No one has the right to kill innocent people, no matter what Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! And I wasn't talking about what brought it on, I was talking about what it's effect was..
Come on. I'm sure there are examples to be found where a program scrapped a line to protect the Muslim point of view. There are no double standards. A Dutch Muslim, or anyone else for that matter, can make a movie on an equal footing about the Talmud or the Bible.
Yeah, too bad mass graves of unknown people never get the same media attention. Or invoke the same justice.
There are US troops killing civilians in Iraq today. There are Dutch troops killing Afghanis today. You know this. Are you innocent?
Yes, I am innocent.. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Edit: So you think I deserve to die because Dutch troops are in Afghanistan ?
No you pay taxes that support your military, you elect your government. If you are silent at what your country inflicts on other people, you share the responsibility. You don't live in a dictatorship.
Because all Dutch Muslims are hate filled extremists? Because after reading the Quran he felt compelled to kill people?
I agree the movie is pointless. In fact, I believe it is the conscious purpose of Wilders to stir up controversy. He gets his votes from being in the spotlight, making populist claims and this movie already got him extensive media attention, even before it is released.
