Just as the title reads, do you? If so post pics or GTFO.

My dog. She's a Dobe/something. Most say Lab so I tend to go with that.

Nope. No pets, unless you count my Koi and they aren't really pets.

I grew up with animals, always a dog or two, or three and cats, cats, cats. I had dogs, cats, iguana, ferrets, ducks, chickens, turkeys, parakeets, canaries, pigeons, a goose, rabbits and a goat,

When my kids were growing up we had pets.

Now that my wife and I are retired we no longer have pets. When our last dog died we decided to not get another one. we travel a lot and it wouldn't be fair to have a pet.

As the saying goes, "True freedom is when the last kid moves out and the dog dies."

I have a Pitbull / Rottweiler mix and a Malamute / Golden Retriever mix. I used to have a different pitbull, but it died, and I've gone through 5 cats.

Those pitbulls though, they're the sweetest dogs ever.

my grandparents had a farm (my grandmother still has it but dont know what she will do with it now she doesnt have pop) my cousins (who lived next door where as we lived in the city) refused to eat lamb because "it came from nan and pops padocks". The idiocy of that was that we city slickers were quite happy to eat lamb vertually fresh from the padock. Some of the best lamb i have ever had actually

my parents do keep chickens but mainly for eggs not meat, that is partually because in the city its very hard to keep a rooster because they make to much noise

That reminds me of Kramer in Seinfeld...

Although I have to ask, if your parents live in the city, where do they keep the chickens?? I mean, that has to be a real pain in the ass keeping chickens in the city..

actually its not really. Firstly by the city i was refering to the suberbs, they have a normal quarter acre block (sorry as i said one half of my family is country so i have picked up some of there speach). Secondly dad built them a cage thats about 5m x 5m x 3m (i think) that ataches to the vegi garden so they can let the choocks straight into the garden in the off season. Also they let them out to wander around the back yard normally and the 2 dogs protect them and have no problem with them. They feed them household scraps so and get eggs and good fertiliser out of them. They also turn over the soil in the veg garden and fertize it so they get even better veg

We were farmers, mainly poultry. We had a couple thousand chickens, Plymouth Rocks, Rhode Island Reds and Black Jersey Giants, plus Muscovy Ducks. We also raised a few turkeys, pigeons (squab) and rabbits for personal consumption. The goat and goose were pets.

Most of the dogs and cats were to keep down vermin.
