Combat action ribbons ARE NOT Medals of Valor. Your own link doesn't even state that any crew member received a Medal of Valor. Is there a point to your fabrication?

US using civilian vehicles to spy

 

Yes sam. I have several myself. It's a kind of right of passage for young americans. We're required to travel (supervised of course) to a foreign country and kill at least three innocent civilians. It's the first (but usually not the last) time we get to directly participate in and be rewarded by our government. I personally have four civilian death-squad medals on my living room wall. They're very shiny.

 

That explains this:

"When the British fire, the Germans duck. When the Germans fire, the British duck. When the Americans fire, everybody ducks."

This is apparently what mothers outside the US tell their children in lieu of horror stories.

 

I'm not defending this Commendation. I'm saying the "entire crew" DID NOT receive Medals of Valor as stated by the OP. Are you claiming the OP's statement is true?

 

Are you claiming the ribbons were appropriate?

 

Are you ribbing the claimants of the appropriation?

And it'll be a sad fucking day too. The mass body counts alone give a huge boost to the american morale. The medals get awarded, the parades, the victory speeches... No, I hope we never stop downing foreign civilian aircraft.
