Taxes didn't have that much to do with the American Revolution.

The oppression backing colonial capitalism was severe, though.

The more similar circumstances would not be places like Denmark, with high taxes, but places like Bolivia, under foreign oppression.

Too bad Iran, Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon, etc, didn't get to spend a bit more time on the learning curve, eh?

Do you suppose Israel is regressing, in their level of barbarity ? Or are they still in the improving stage, merely a bit slower than expected ?

"No taxation without representation" -- ever heard of that one?

Have you read my post at all, or did you just breeze through it, looking for the main points?
Each of the names you mention would require its own paragraph. I suggest you go back to my original post and read all the qualifiers I put to clarify everything...

Yeah. Only I've noticed people overlook what was the main factor at the time - the representation.

The most heavily taxed people in the American Colonies were the ones most likely to be Loyalists, when the shooting started. But (being comparatively wealthy capitalistic businessmen) they had representation - the Crown was attending to their interests, more.
Each of them had quasi-democracies undermined and overthrown by the US/Israel, and have now democratic movements or even elected governments violently opposed by the US/Israel.

I'm just tracking the idea that some of the people involved are "savages", and some aren't.

I'm looking forward to reading your arguments how they were quasi-democracies

    * Iran - post Shah = one big dictatorship
    * Iraq - Saddam, quasi-democratic???
    * Lebanon - post civil war = sort of democratic until Iran (via Hizballah) interfered.
    * PA - are you joking me? Arafat running a quasi-democracy?

I'm looking forward to you spending twenty minutes of your own time at Wikipedia, rather than bouncing this thread.

Does anyone know if the long piracy traditions in the area, involving fast little boats jacking passersby, are at all involved in something like this ? Same people, government connections, etc ?

George Washington was one the colonies largest land-owners at the time the Revolutionary War broke out. The Adams' were successful businessmen. And men like Hamilton and Franklin weren't exactly poor, either.

It's rather funny what some people will believe about other humans.

    RE: small boats.

I think they were probably pinging the US navy to see what sort of response they could provoke and to see what sort of equipment they could measure.

Al Miraj? Say it out loud.

Some people believe we are alien seeds.

Others that Buddhists are peaceful people.

Apparently it is normal protocol for Iranian naval boats to ask ships in the Strait to identify themselves.

The Iranians claim the US fabricated the story and video.

    Hmm, who shall we believe?

if they wanna dance they can get a good one from autralia we arent nice people
and there kids well as you all know aussie depts love tampering with kids
there kids will have no safety from australian dept's if this goes on they will spread over there take what they want total wipe out and very very nastily that would make one sick to their stomach makes me sick so how they gonna handle that over there
war will make em broke they will have no choice but give up
they dont want that no one does

and then theres the cost of energy negative enrgy if its manipulated so easily would they have a chance to fight against critical mass as it builds up now with devastation after devastation would they have the knowledge to cope with things like moth man to ones perception or angels that can manipulate this energy
it would be devastation and a mockery to think they will play with such a thing
and if they think they can play with fire and not get burnt well im sorry it dont work that way
i guess there is reasons for things going on in this world sumtimes good things havt to come to an end
if they keep persisting on annoying me then they will believe in imaginary diseases
they will suffer great satisfacion for my eyes to have sumthing to watch and laugh at instead of silly aussies believing in stuff they cant get out of
im pretty much think neither can those idiots over there threatening innocent people doing a job

Frightened is probably not the correct term. Concerned perhaps, that they might have to fire on some extremely foolish people.
