I found this free drawing program to be very good for first time users that want and need only the basics to learn how to use this type of program. I hope you will enjoy it as I do.

Oooh, ta. I might just have to have a play with that. I might put a model of my house on Google Earth!

I love Google Earth. I have it on my Smartphone. It locates me using GPS and downloads the aerial images. How cool is that!

So it gives you a detailed photograph of yourself where you are located or just a photo of the area your in?

Resolution varies by region. I live on the outskirts of a city, and the resolution is pretty damned good. I guess it was taken using an aircraft. It gets updated periodically, current pic of my house is about a year old.

Some regions default back to satellite images, and therefore lack image quality, but the one of my house shows that I hadn't finished paving the back yard, and I can see where I left the wheel barrow of bricks.

The photos are in real time or just when does the photograph get taken? Say you were out driving around, can it take a picture of you in your car?

    No, heh!

Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!

They are just stored images. Didn't you notice he said the one of his house was about a year old? They do update them all the time - but just one section at a time. It might be two years or more before they come back to any given location again.

Real time would be awesome, ... and require access to military grade spy satellites, so that ain't happening any time soon! Ikonos sell satellite images, high res down to 1m resolution, but they only have the one satellite, so couldn't do real time, and at 1m, your car would be about three pixels!
