By no means is the Forever War meant to demonize homosexuality. I really don't know what gave you that idea. I'd say quite the contrary. It was showing how sexual orientation should be no big deal, and arguing that it was completely biological at a time when that idea was not prevalent. It's a very good book, I'd highly recommend.

You use the term "host" as though it is a parasite. A lot of heterosexual couples also have to resort to the use of a third party (be it a surrogate mother or donor sperm or egg). Just as you are born with the colour of your eyes, skin, hair, etc, already predetermined from before you even looked remotely human in the womb. Why should your sexuality be any different? How does what a homosexual couple do in the privacy of their bedroom affect you or anyone else in society? Are you saying that each time I have sex with my husband, it somehow affects you?
