There must be something that prevents it from happening in the majority of cola drinkers.

Which one? Losing teeth or losing calcium which you will not know until age 65

I thought the goal of this inquiry was an energy dense combustable liquid fuel- cost or sustainability being of no concern.

    That is correct.

    The force is strong

What about thermite. It can be used as a catalyst. The absorbed energy would be intensified exciting maybe a volatile liquid like hydrochloric acid.

And that would get you... what, exactly?? Hot HCL (and corrosive vapor) and what else?

Thermite is a aluminum powerbase with with an oxider like ferrous (sp) oxide. I used this to make minibombs as a kid but made sure the servant ignited it....

. It was safe. No need to use HCL. We never used liquids for fireworks as some are highly hygroscopic. But we are not making fireworks here....

It is going nowhere...we need a student doing BS in Chemistry...it will be fresh in his/her mind. My degree was so long ago that I did a memory dump when I switched to computers.

Funny thing is, we did a lot of horsing around those days, it is a miracle we did not blow up the lab...oh...memories....

Come to think of it - Since you can get these or substitute ingredients in stores...We are not going to discuss explosive stuff anymore.

I can't think of any liquid fuel that is twice as energy dense as diesel.
