its not clear why all these responses are all ad homs (although I will admit that some of them were - mainly because they were in response to trolling/flaming etc)
If anyone starts to troll or flame (even a mod) what do you think the natural consequence of that is?

and even then, its not clear how they would help your case if they were because none of them are from this thread.

you seem to forget there are two other mods on the religion forum and that there are other mods in the lime light (eg SAM) who get their fair share of nasty PM's and flattery threads made in their honour

That certain member (not plurals) was actually YOU (lying by omission on your behalf here) and actually what I said was making a point in a debate, where I put you in a lose-lose position. You probably recognized that and retaliated with a ban.

Nobody in their right mind would think that the infamous sentence with a smiley at its end was a serious death threat to anybody, specially because it involved a deceased criminal. :bugeye:

I recognize that the role of the moderator is absolutely bullshit. For instance, when we issue warnings to people, telling them to desist from certain behavior, we don't really mean it. After all, what we're really doing is inviting more of the same.

Well, I could issue a warning to not mention the parts in bible where little children are promoted for slaughtering, but that would be unwarranted and the warning itself inadequate for the situation.
