almost everyday!! and my point is this, if I PAY EXTRA for ME to sign for the items then I SHOULD sign for them and NOT my neighbour, and what about the items that were left in rubbish bins for me? ANd on one occassion the item got so damaged that i had to throw it away. So if I PAY EXTRA to sign for it I SHOULD sign for it NOT my neighbour NOt anyone else. i understand the poor ole postmen/women havea atought job but if they cant do it then perhaps they should find anouther job, like bin men/women. And the average price to post a letter is what....35p first class, and now they have got higher charges it is stupid, i paid £25 to post a pair of shoes that i sold on e bay. And i got feedback from the buyer saying, the postman/woman left in the garage and it got stolen. So perhaps if the postal service was run by decent people then it would run better but until then i am affraid we are stuck with not only second class post but also second class service. And while i am here, why is it that my street gets our post at 5:00 in the evening is it because the service is incredibly slow and outdated?
Sounds to me like your postie should have been fired by now if he's that bad. Why don't you voice your concerns to Royal Mail itself instead of here? £25 to post a pair of shoes? I have posted guitars and computers for less. Even Special Delivery that must have been one HEAVY pair of shoes. You must have a trainee....the latest I finish, even after they moved our starting time an hour later, is 14:30 or so with the Christmas mail. Most days around 13:00, used to be 11:30. Five in the evening is ridiculous, have you ever met your postie? Sounds like you are one of the unlucky ones who has a different trainee every week to me. That happens, we get new starts quitting after a couple of weeks all the time.
with postal insurance. yes i have met my postman, and he is a grump person, and i ahve taken my complaint to the british mail services and they said that sometimes the post can get delivered late, but everyday?? also, they say that postmen are under lots of stress. (Oh Did Ums)
Edited:by me. Ok then maybe give him al ittle cash under thge tablePlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I posted a guitar not that long ago, with postal insurance, it came to about £15. Funnily enough Royal Mail lost it, but I got my money back plus the postage refunded. Took about two months though. 17:30 is a ridiculous time for the postie to be finishing considering we usually start our delivery at 9:20ish, 10:20 at the latest.
not really Enmos no, the postman is responsible for posting the right letters to the right houses, and if they cant do that for whatever reason then they should be fired!
The postmen can't help if they deliver the mail late though. As for reading numbers.. don't go there.. lol People that send mail need to learn to write first. Lost mail, well.. no telling who's to blame really.. could be the postman..
