I've always wondred about this. For some reason, people think better in the shower. Why is that? I'm assuming its increased blood flow to the brain.
Haha, it really does doesn't it? I love hot showers, partly because of the increased thinking. It's great!
not entirely true. a person has ideas when they are engaged in "automatic" activity. a runner, while in a state of mind called "runners high", will eperience an increase of ideas. a driver on the interstate will also experience the same thing. this state of mind can be determined by the brainwaves called theta. http://www.bethcoleman.net/theta.html
Hot showers relax me. Its like it erases every thought and calms me down. If I can't sleep, I take a hot shower and go back to bed.
I never had that happen to me. Whenever I shower I take only 5 minutes or less and only turn the water on to get wet then to remove the soap and shampoo. Not much time for me to think very much in there.
try plugging your ears or removing the auditory sense in your shower. See if anything changes.....(less stimulation)
I think hot showers are relaxing but i don't percieve them stimulating, but mayby thats because when I take a shower its 6 a.m. and I'm totally overtired and I nearly fall asleep while standing in the shower...
well simple really.......get in the shower (if you take them) does it make you "think better" or not? Why do you need outside verification for something so simple lol
Huh. Hot showers wake me up. I never feel like I'm really avwake until I've taken a shower. What you're describing is a bath.
:bugeye: The OP contained a factual statement: I dispute this as a fact. I asked for supporting evidence for this supposed "fact". What part of this train of logic are you not able to understand? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
