Any aliens out there?

luckely the universe is a bit older then 50 000 years.
I'm not saying that universe is teeming with life but all concidering we can't exclude life on Mars Europa and Ganymede. So their proberly going to be quit a few places in the universe that have life. Hey in a near infinite universe what are the changes that something as vague like a intilligent species only happens once

Intelligent life evolved here so why preclude the possibility of the same thing happening elsewhere ?

Why exclude life on Europa? For all we know the aliens may be just unable to get out of their ice prison.

I have no difficulty in believing that the universe is teeming with many forms of life, some of which must surely be carbon based and capable of being recognized by us. I suggest that communication is a bigger problem than recognition.

 

Many things mostly yust lack of time to properly post and work related stress (Work starts to take in 14h a day including travel time).
The post was a mere comment on the name of Jupiters moon Europa resembling the word Europa (like it is in many European countries).

My main point in this entire threat is probably that:
1 their are many places in our solar system that can have lifeforms (Mars in particulair with it's unexplained methane source).
2 life probably originated multiple times on earth alone and life is probably not going to be something special out there. Keeping it and letting it evolve is
3 There are a lot of planets out there. It's mathematical absurd to claim only one of them has life.
4 People for some reason want to find intiligent life (this one is more important then you think)

 

With maybe 7x10^22 stars and maybe a trillion, trillion planets out there, if even one in a million have some form of life on and one in a million of them is intelligent life, that still leaves a trillion civilisations out there. Of course, distance is the big problem.

There has been speculations by SF authors and others of life based on silicon instead of carbon, of life on gas giants and very heavy gravity worlds as well as very cold and hot worlds, etc. As well as life maybe under the surface of Mars, there could be life in the upper clouds of Venus and under the surfaces of some of the moons of Jupiter and Saturn. We don't really know the limits of life, though obviously intelligent life has much stricter limitations.

 

Depends on the atmospheric pressure and what is dissolved in the water. And of course temperatures. Many planets will have more than one sun.

 

I disagree the bigest problems are habitability and time I believe.

A planet needs to have a massive habitable zone exposed to a constant energy source for it's entire evolutionair proces. I'm sure that at times long ago even or moon had some liquid water squashed between two hot rocks therefore their realy can be some life on the moon considering that scientist can find exthremophiles ?X? km deep when their drilling for oil.
So it takes some habitability for a planet to develop life (I'm ignoring sillicon amonia based lifeforms here).
For real advanced life this means a big planet (so it doesn't loose to much atmosphere) a decent rotation (nothing longer then a week unles tidal locked) A decend atmosphere (above triple point of water) and partial covering with liquid water and water in it's 3 states (liquid solid and gas).
Considering This solar system with both Titan and Earth this might even be ignored (both are partial covered in liquids and have them in the 3 states).

So really if it's massive enough (meaning it can keep it's atmosphere), has a decend rotation and in the habitable zone it is going to be partial covered in water and have some sort of life on it. How complex it is will depend of the supply of energy the habitable range the organic goo avaiable, etc


The other factor is time it took life on earth 4,5 billion years and sentient life first arose 130000 years ago Meaning you'l have around 0,00013% change that when you have found a planet that can evolve intiligent life it actually has intiligent life (this changes offcourse depending on the age of the sun).

Also I visited the orionsarm website (a decend scifi site ) and I saw that they only go 10 000 years in the future(altough it looks like you have to add 2000 years). And perhaps with good reason because I've got my doubts that we still be around in a 100 000 years. So again you've found your alien capable of many great things and you got a +50% change that he's living somewhere in a cave

 

to me it dont matter if there is anything out there
cause the only thing thats alien to me is
god and he is the only one thing that wants to be with me

All things alive will die eventually so wheter there is a god or not doesn't really matter because in the end it's the only your certain to figure out... not really relevant though.
I do wonder if all/most other alien races would have a concept of a god
