    Nothing ever happens

    Dude ... rock on.

Lou Reed, New York. I had an urge to hear "Dime Store Mystery".

I felt so stupid, not long ago. (What, is that hard to believe?) I kept tripping up on this song playing behind the end credits for the Mark Steel televised Lecture episode on Rene Descartes. ("I know this feeling. I know it from before. Descartes to Hegel: Belief is never sure.") And then I realized why it sounded so familiar.

And I was sober through most of that. Well, okay ... sometimes I would watch that episode just to smoke along. It's a pleasant buzz, that one, unlike Dazed and Confused, which can melt your ass to the sofa.

I really don't see the point of this thread. By the time anyone reads what's playing—the songs would've long been done for. In fact, it sounds like people's songs are playing in a loop until the next post—many days later—proclaims otherwise!

Some of us want to present themselves as cool persons.

I'm listening the music that no one heard of.
    I'm so cool...

I think people post them in the hope that others will listen and be instantly converted.

But, of course, no-one ever does.

Because it's a freakin' insane album. If I had to guess, I'd go with "Snowblind" or "Thin Skin". You don't seem a "Manic" type, and maybe the combination of "Weary" and "Tell the Captain/Out of Sheer Loneliness" tugs your heart just so, but you seem more a nation of one type.

    Hell, I don't know. Why?

I post the music I have been listening to for many years to have other

people enjoy those types of songs that I do. I can only hope that others do

enjoy listening to the music I post because I do to. Perhaps others have

never heard of some of the music I'm posting, which I'm certain many of

them have not. It is interesting for me as well to enjoy listening to what

others like in todays music as well. By sharing our mutual likes in music we

all gain from it, there's nothing negative about any types of music...except

    rap.
Again I will be always enjoying the opportunity to listen to the variety of

music that I hear that's being posted, for the most part, and can only

thank those that do share their music styles with everyone.

I just want to share some great bands and songs with other members.

Some are well known, some aren't, which is much better, IMHO.
