India has so many problems that pointing out one or two is like pointing out waves in the ocean ...there's always more and many are larger than the last one.

And besides that, no one really gives a shit about India ....even Indians! They try to get to the USA as quickly as they can.

Except for Sam. Speaking of which, I'm really surprised she hasn't chimed in to defend her home country against this argument.
India is such a pretty country otherwise, too.

I think people in India are intelligent and hardworking. The only problem is that there are so many people in such a small amount of land. And the population is not getting any smaller. So yeah there may be a lot of poor in India but there are a lot of people in India. What's sad is the amount of poor people in the USA. Jesus there are a lot of homeless.

I have a friend of mine (PhD) from Thailand that couldn't wait to go to the USA. When she returned from her trip she said she couldn't believe the number of poor homeless. It made her so sad she decided she didn't want to live there and returned to Thailand. While she thought it was admirable that Americans donate so much to other countries should couldn't understand why we don't help our own people?!?!? I told her that's called Communism and we're so brainwashed to hate helping out our fellow citizens that we can now only help other people.

Actually the biggest hurdle we face in the USA concerning the homeless is ....our basic human rights and freedoms. If the homeless don't want our help, and most don't, then we're not allowed to force them to do anything. See? Even on the coldest nights of the year, many homeless will refuse to be taken to a shelter ...and our freedoms and human rights won't allow us to force them to go.

Geez, where did that fantastic lie come from?!

People do want to help, but how? If the homeless don't want helped, how can you force them? And if you did, the liberal ACLU would cry foul and have you in court in no time.
