Statistics show that when the wealth level (not income level) is equal Whites and Blacks perform very similarly, except that Blacks are more likely to graduate from college than Whites...so are Whites less intelligent? Why is that when environmental conditions are equal that Whites don't do as well? So now, with no more evidence than for the contrary position, blacks are better than whites. Sheesh. I think blacks are better than whites... at absorbing the visible spectrum of light. I think whites are better than blacks... at reflecting the visible spectrum of light. There. I've just proven an undeniable racial difference that should only upset whites in a cold, low-light environment (we wan't to be warm after all).
I don't think that was Vital One's point. He seemed to be highlighting the danger of drawing conclusions from only a cursory glance at statistical results without understanding all of the controls on a particular variable. That is a valid and a vital point. (If you'll excuse the pun.)
