I don't know, but it is an interesting question. I haven't seen many Asian and black people who have down's syndrome. I've always assumed that Down's syndrome was more prevalant in Caucasians in comparision to other races, but i could be wrong.
Yes, they may be in every race, but are dwarves considered a race? Does having one condition (dwarfism) stop another (Down's) from forming?

Dwarfism is rare. The most common form occurs 1:26000 Down has a rate of 1:1000 count out your luck. Both come with health problems. Count your luck to get passed that. And it is therefore perfectly normal not to see them. I can't even remember the last time I saw a dwarf.
I keep trying to explain that there's only one race...HUMAN! Everyone has their ETHNICITY wchich creates different cultures but they sure are not a race.
most likely if you have numerous genetic disorders they will accumulate and fetuses self-abort... but thats just my hypothesis.
Regarding Down's Syndrome, it occurs in about 1 in 800 live births. I'm pretty sure there is no racial difference and I have seen Down's Syndrome among people of all races. I can't see how chromosomal nondisjunction would be more common in one race than another. In fact, the only real risk factor for Down's is the age of the mother. The immune system comes into play because the vast majority of Down's Syndrome fetuses spontaneously abort. It's thought that the mother's body recognizes the fetus as abnormal and aborts it. As women age their bodies fail to do this.
Maybe that's what happens with a dwarf fetus then. Adding the Downs on top of the other things is just too much and it self terminates. I've also never seen a Down's child in Natl Geographic in the African tribes or the jungles of South America. I'm guessing they don't survive childhood.
If I had a child with Down Syndrome and had their tongue made smaller, eyes changed, etc, so people wouldn't take one look and know their condition, would that be unethical?

People have done that. The problem is, the child is still retarded. Also, it's one hell of a lot of surgery to put someone thru. Especially someone with a bad heart (which people with Down's syndrome almost always have).
That white tiger is Kenny Rogers. He has a brother, Willie Nelson and a dad Conway Twitty. They were rescued from a breeder. When Kenny and Willie were born and the breeder saw them, he knew he was done with the parents. As you can tell from Kenny, they were very inbred and deformed. Is Down's only a human condition?
It's caused when the individual has 3 instead of 2 copies of the 21st chromosome. Animals probably have genetic problems but likely don't live to pass them on as much as humans. They certainly have genetic mutations. That is how you get some breeds like hairless cats and cats with curly hair. Poodles are a result of a mutation I think.
