No, his consciousness dies with his body. Particles from his mind could later on become particles in someone else's mind. Thus potentially being part of what creates that persons consciousness. I think he means it that way. His children can't posses part of his consciousness in this way. But maybe he means through genetics, which is of course a totally different thing.

Energies the body produces. Neuro-chemical responses are made by the body. Right, now that we have established that consciousness is purely a product of the body we can now say that consciousness dies along with the body.
